  2. Hey I have a ghost knife, BN's, clown loaches, discus and kuhli loaches in a tank with what looks like could be the very early stages of white spot which I want to treat straight away, am i right in thinking that I should only use half the recommended does in a tank containing these fish? :-? if not what should I do?
  3. Well if you were in wellington you could live with me the more animals and fishes the better I recon , a dragon would go in quite nicely between turtles and 3 tropical fish tanks I have and cat and rabbit
  4. Thanks for that and yea I am going to see his tank in the next couple days, which will be great to see everything going and working. Thanks heaps for the quick replies

Any help with this would be much appreciated. And if this isn't the right tank for me any help on setting one up would be great. Thanks in advance

  7. I have only got little dudes at the moment and I have 6 so I hope they are ok
  8. Well pretty much what you have said suit is how I have got them together at the moment so that is great news thanks so much I have got the discus, ghosty, cory's, clown's and bristlenose's in one tank (oh and also 2 kuhli loaches) with them to, and the tank looks great and everone is getting along GREAT!! And I am looking to upgrade there tank at the moment too so they will be getting a wonderfull new home haha, (oh and the neons are with them at the moment too so I will change them around) I then have the RT sharks, yellows, large pleco, kribs, mollies and one gourami in another tank as yes the mollies and the sharks anoy the other fish :-? And then In my third tank I have another gourami (as the other had been beating him up ) my fighters, and some other fish that I have sold which I am waiting to be picked up like lace gourami, platties, guppies etc I definately will start looking around to set up a cichlid only tank as they can go into the spare tank once I have got a new one Thanks Heaps you have been a great help!!!! Is there any african's you would recommend I have a look at?
  9. Thats it so totally what I thought but they don't seem to be bothering each other? (angels did it to each other) Ghosty was in with them would he have done it? I have never seen him even look at anyother fish? especially that size? Oh I sure have I will do anything to make him happy haha Anyothers that he will be in ok with? so he will be in ok with my yellows and I think possibly I might get a few more I just have to do some study on who will be in ok with each other :-? Are Rams (buterfly cichlids) ok in with them as I really like them and want to get some possibly even just put them in my community tank? Thanks for all your help
  10. Yea I meant red tailed sharks (must have been dreaming ) no the red tailed sharks weren't in with them just some mollies, clown loaches, cory's, bristlenose's and kribs. the electric yellows are only about 3cms long and I have had no problem before with them nipping untill these angels??? I found that the red tailed sharks were too nosey going into where my ghost knife likes to hide so I seperated them, now hes in with a few discus until I can find more suitable tank mates for him!! He seems happy with them though (no nosey little buggars coming to see him  ) and I can tell since I have had him he has got way more friendly, at feeding times hes not shy at all :bounce: not like to start with it had to be completley dark before he would venture out And yes for the tank and I'm going to get larger tanks as he gets bigger ghosty!!!
  11. The black tailed sharks are great thanks
  12. Did anyone have any good ideas on what I should put in with my black ghost knife?
  13. Ok thanks for all that I will treat them asap by themselves, Yea I have learn't my lesson with the Yellows and they are now in another tank.
  14. Hi this is the first question I have asked I have 2 angel fish with no fins, these are 8cm angels and they were in with some baby electric yellows (3cm) and some others but i don't think it was them, funny thing is that they had been in with other angels no problem but between me going to work and they were fine and then getting home 9 hours later they were nearly dead (there was two angel's in there one more damaged than the other) I took them out of the tank within seconds of seeing them like that, they lasted the night which took me by surprise but now the worst of the two has a funny white looking fungus hair like thing growing on the parts where the fins were trimed right down to the flesh (3 parts) what do I do? and was this the electric yellows? Also what fish would you recommend that my 10cm black ghost knife should go in with, he is such a beautiful little dude? Just so everyone knows a little more about me- I have three tanks 1x 100ltr 2x 130ltr and quite a big range of fish which I have had no problem with up until now. I also have some of Ronnie's beautiful Red melon's in one of my tanks I also have neons, albino cory's, clown loaches, bristlenose, 2 large pleco's (one is in with my turtles), mollies, kribs, red tailed sharks, dwalf gourami and fighter's. Mostly two of each of the above but I have got a few more discus which are stunning. I am tring to find Ram's in wellington but have had no luck?? does anyone know where to get them without paying the earth
