i can only find examples of actual fish around 12 to 15 inch & a claim of a 18inch fish. that is still half the 3 foot clown that has been claimed.

i have found that my 4 also do the same, hiding behind the rocks & coming out when lights go out although feeding time also brings them out.

because that is what these forums are for, nurturing the next generation of keepers up wether they are 13, 30 or 60. i think you want to help others but sometimes that attitude is tested & pushed by the people you are trying to help. i have learnt so much about being patient with less experienced people having 3 children which makes forums a whole lot more relaxing :lol: .

David, i agree with the base of what you are saying but i think your going about it the wrong way in this thread. the natural progression for everyone is to start as a newbie asking what fish go with what & what filter to put on our small tank. then we get experience & move up the ladder & try to help the newbies. after several years we have read every thread & plateau while the newbies still come. i have found experienced keepers that were around when i was a newbie are no longer here & some of them simply use it to sell fish & don't contribute at all. it's the few experienced keepers that stick around to keep helping newbies that keep it running but most "fall off the top" as the newbies enter at the bottom. thats just how it is & experienced keepers will always be offered advice by less experienced people & that will never change. an open mind & a sense of humor will be required & tested. i am sticking around for when trophs are being bought by newbies, then i shall be useful & in the meantime i am trying different things so i understand more than what is currently in books & on forums :lol:

this is a very sensible attitude, good work. it would be a terrible situation if said top $ fish got wasted by another shortly after being rehomed.

there is very little loyalty these days & this shows what common sense they have & the loyalty they have for you. someone has voiced their opinion at some point that it is cruel to post fish & they have embraced that rather than the thousands of examples that prove they are fine being shipped.

meh, don't fight them just use poste haste & save some money to.

Poste Haste, NZC little brother that uses big brother where they don't have service. I have used them & NZC & both offer same service except PH is cheaper.

yes thanks i did but its only 430 deep so my 500 deep tank won't fit.

the my50 is great but the my55 has the bluetooth handsfree kit which would be a better option IMO.
