  1. they are simply power outputs that each manufacturer has chosen to provide, they have nothing to do with the maximum power each brand can produce. so less people buy the ford/fpv? lots more people choose to buy the hsv/holden? I sell cars for a living & i am yet to hear a marketing strategy of keeping a car less common from any manufacturer. correct me if i'm wrong but you can beat the wishbone, the holdens which have macpherson struts did easily that's why they changed the rules so that holden have to fit the wishbones & make it more of an even competition.
  2. i have a 400hp SS but have loved them since my old man bought a new one when i was a toddler. Through the late 80's to mid 90's i liked the holdens as they were able to be made to look many different ways with the kits that were available, the fords only seemed to have one option when it came to dressing them up.
  3. don't think that the wholesale list mean they are all imports, local breeders can/do supply the wholesalers to.
  4. he is asking for the import list which has been linked to above. i expect he meant the wholesale list from the word "current" but it could have been the import list. was it in fact the import list you wanted james?
  5. this is the one thing i really enjoy about the super cars, the rivalry between holden & ford. It was indeed a good result for the reasons you have stated but that is the most the fords boys have had to talk about so far & it will be very interesting to see how the rest of the season goes. the 17 v's 11 is a direct result of a race teams choice to run which ever brand they wish. I will follow the rest of the season with interest & will accept any toweling i receive from my rivals out there & will also greatly enjoy my side winning on the flip side. Also with the falcons being no more the whole format will have to change to slot car racing which will kill the sport completely i think so enjoy what little time we have left as it is. go the holdens! 8)
  6. the only podium spot out of 6 for the weekend & i although i didn't watch most of it i am pretty sure there wasn't a ford pole position either so hardly that much to brag about.
  7. it is great he got his first win in NZ, a great result for him.
  8. it is a requirement on cars made after a certain year, if you have a old car then you may get away with it. If it came from the factory with one it must work.
  9. FAIL but it shouldn't be hard to fix. probably a bulb if the lamp is still in place.
  10. 1st - Holden 2nd - Holden 3rd - Holden 8)
  11. what temp is your coldwater tank?
  12. congrats & all the best! don't you have to have bred 7 or so before you can register them?
  13. can't. i use a high powered brake barrel air rifle around the house rather than the 10/22 ruger. the ruger would be ideal but stock & houses are a little close for rapid fire .22
  14. i don't, it's just i use a rifle so can only shoot one at a time if they aren't in a line. they are always in groups
  15. what rate was the new pump zayne? i think a small inrcease would be ok, like an extra 200LPH. i would throw a canister on it which is what i did on my sunsun of a similar size.
  16. i have an high powered air rifle that is brilliant for getting rid of those, the flip side to firing at them is they are very smart birds & learn very quickly that it isn't a nice place to be & tend to stay away after being shot at.
  17. a mate of mine is a stone mason that does that type of thing if your interested.
  18. all articles published by the nz herald disagree
  19. that is brilliant, those fish are "off the hook"
  20. i have done that, the only issue you will have it getting the flow right. I aimed my spraybar at the at the wall it was suctioned onto so the flow returning around the tank was slower.

    Hi

    hello & welcome
  22. i am confident in saying that stihl are the best saws but even the best saws should be serviced/tuned to keep them at their best just like vehicles. if anything is maintained properly then it will last longer than i would without. I have a stihl weed eater & get it tuned yearly & it's as good today as the day i bought it. the same goes for my old mans stihl woodboss, after a tune it is better.
