You'll still be liable for duty and GST when it comes into NZ so might work out more expensive, just something to keep in mind.

If your looking for a place to get a co2 bottle I just got mine from Brewcraft in Mt Eden for $180 its the old fire extinguisher kind and I can using it for my brewing as well Oppps just realized Port Nicholson glass is in Wellington, you should put where you live in your profile. Anyway try a brew shop down there for a co2 bottle they might have them cheap.

Yeah was going to give Hollywoods a call tomorrow and see if they had it but its a good 30min drive each way for me just for something thats not worth much.

Did you have a look at the tanks and shelving that is being sold on trademe? works out to be about $53 per tank and the shelving comes with it.

I wouldn't put a discus in there with the angels or knifefish. The kribensis should be fine in there though :thup:

Good luck and like said before I wouldn't just limit to africans there are plenty of people interested in other tropical fish that aren't brought in very often if at all that are on the allowed list.

Its worth a try. Also if they couldn't get the Nannostomus mortenthaleri (Coral/Red Pencilfish) I would like Nannostomus rubrocaudatus (Purple Dwarf Pencilfish). Have we still got A.Hongsloi in the country? I used to have some and have been looking for them again.

cost me $100 for just a simple one but then I added a few clear channels that I am going to run LEDs in. I looked at getting a Juwel one but those flimsy flaps are $100 each by themselves then the light is another $295. Can send you pics if you want.

Tank emptied. I'm going to get some clear acrylic and put two braces on. I got a hood made from Anything Acrylic in Drury who were cheap and awesome so will ask them. If anyone is wanting anything acrylic done I highly recommend them.

Have you seen the brace in the Juwel tanks? I don't think even silicon would hold it. What about the plastic bracing the Juwels have that go around the whole top?

Hi everyone, I brought a Juwel Rio 240 off trademe and the person who owned it cut the centre brace off. I used and extra strong glue and then some fiber glass to attache dit back on. I filled the tank up last night and and the brace has come off this morning and the front glass is bowing by about 3-4mm. Should I empty and tank or just leave it? the Juwel tanks have a thick plastic rim that goes around the whole top of the tank.

Found some sand on trademe called Pinaki sandpit sand, would that be alright for cories? I've used pool filter sand before and found that it damaged the mouths of my cories. I think it was too sharp.

I got mine from Plamers in Pakuranga since I was over there picking up a Ehiem 2217 I got off trademe. It ended up being $12.99 for 15kg instead of the $14.99 advertised. There were only 4 bags left as well so grabbed 2 of them.
