  1. i've got a brand new soda stream bottle if anyone is interested for $20 bought it for this purpose but never got around to it. its the large bottle type 885g so just over 3.5 times the size of the one on TM but same size head. Edit : SOLD
  2. get the biggest tank and filter u can afford that would save u to having to up grade later on cuz u definitely will. filter u want nothing but a canister filter. subtract is not pessary and if u are goin to have it make sure its too big for them to eat as they will which can cause problem. heater and light are debatable i've bought them up using both and none and neither one is better than the other. the ones bought up with out light and heater are more active even during winter and the ones bought up with are in a semi hibernating state during winter. hope that helps

    GBA growth

depend on how old they are? if they are younger they tend to grow faster with the right type of food like wafers, wood, courgette, shrimp pellets...... they males tend to get their bristles when they are around 4-5 cm
  11. sorry thats the site i was talking about
  12. alright !! i think brackish tanks are very under rated. i had Siamese Tiger set up and loved it. here is a great site that helped me a lot when first started to see what fish to have and how to set up the tank for what fish.
  13. got bord and thought i'll load some pic on to my photobucket and share them here. comments good or bad all welcome i know u guys are all sick of GBA pic but they are just soooo cute. just couple of days after hatching and these are the ones that decided to escape. my main breeding male fanning his eggs that u can just see at the back. golden WCMM is anyone else breeding these or other color morphs of WCMM?? breeding pair zebra danios young female albino kribs my male turtle in the pond. this is an old pic from last spawning season for goldfish. i set this up as an grow out tank.
  14. it looks stunning ditto
  15. with the parasite and diseases aside i just think discus and angels in the same tank just dont look right. or is that just me? if u dont get a straight answer here try PM the discusguru him self
  16. the second one made it all worth it i am sure the beauty of digital cameras
  17. i dont see a problem here 24-26 degree is ideal temperature for youngsters so ur right on the ball there. heating rule is 1 watt per litre so u have more than enough. u do NOT want to cover the tank completely not because it would stop the light but it would get humid and cause white blotches on the sell because they can not fully dry off which can become worse turning into fungus and shell rot. that's because it doesn't, it only absorb a small amount not all. i totally agree, check the ingredient on the food ur feeding ur turtle and make sure it has vitamin D3 and ur be fine. but UV light emits UV for more like 6-9 month not 3. and remember u want a light that goes in to the UV range and produce UVB not a UV light. UVB helps the turtle to produce its own vitamin D3 hope that helps
  18. not really its just annoying
  19. does that mean these are no longer allowed to be sold.....? :-?
  20. what i do is feed them high protein frozen food once a week helps the female's egg ripe. if ur going to do this make sure there is wood or wood in their diet to help digest. keep the temperature around 25 for a while and then cold water change and drop temperature to around 22.
  21. thats the only reason i have one for my turtles
