  1. ive got a heap of red zebs and blue zebs to get rid of
  2. my O,s favorite game is to grab hold of fake plants and swim of with them til thry pull out so would hate to think what he would do with real plants hes in a 500 l tank with elec yellows blue zebras bumble bees and lion heads and they all get on fine hes awsome more like a dog than a fish . i have a small rc submarine which he loves to chase around the tank hes about 25cm a real character
  3. wot i have decided to do is run my 1200 l/h internal filter that has been used in my other tank for a coupple of months while my canister filter cycles hav added about 8 various cichlids will see how they go thanks for your help
  4. just set up 500l tank in lounge used about 100 l of water from existing tank and the rest from tap can i start adding fish in my thinking it should be no different than doing a water change in an old tank as there should be heaps of bacteria in that 100 l of cycled water thanks for your thoughts.

  6. ive got a 6 foot cichlid tank a 3 ft electric yellow breeding setup my community which i will be redoing this weekend a tank for fry and a native brackiish tank i just had a internal filter in the tank that crashed but all my other tanks have ugf and internal filters and ive never had a prob till now give me a buz somtime 3438876 will catch up
  7. was away at the weekend at a 4x4 comp and came home sunday night to find that my community tank had crashed 7 dead neons female krib 3 bns and 5 guppys and a young fighter :evil: :evil: :evil: im gutted have been keeping fish for a couple of years and ive only lost a convict cause he got beat up i havent been able to work out what happened but i think it could be somthing to do with a raised gravel area over half the tankthe gravel was about 6 inchs deep wit no ugf and me thinking it may have had a build up of toxins have since moved the fish to my other tanks ad all ok what suprises me is that the plants are thriving .so i know have a widowd female krib male fighter and male bn so if any one can help it would be great
