Roughly.... 1 tablespoon per 20 litres, think that 5 gallons is slightly less than 20 litres, great converters online 8)

Usual recommended dose is 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons...

Have certainly picked alot of brains in the past :lol: And continue to do so :lol: Have just informed hubby that we need underside shots of the crab... close ups... he has just got in from work and met with the task of grabbing crab chops later... joy :lol: He already got a piece of crab nipped imbedded right into his finger yesterday while out rock pooling, gee they can go in a fair way, this big broke off to... :lol:

Our Gold Saum had the exact above symptoms on purchase, they had gill flukes... we dosed with prazi... and did wonders.

Yeah I can well imagine :lol: At least in Napier we are lucky to have the National Aquarium, a couple of staff members there are excellent when it comes to native marines.... have already picked their brains a couple of times already.. 8)

Ahhh ok, wondered that. Yeah will be different temp wise... we have marine tho and have done well with tropical so should be fine and dandy. Just slight different ball game with native marine.

Very nice MarkLB, she is a cutey, our female was huge in the gut department, and when put in with the male she exploded, at least 60 GBAs later :lol: They have now grown on and now we have another 40 or so, the pair are spending too much time in the bedroom :lol: Will try and get some good pics of the pair, yeah right with our cam... Good Luck with breeding her when you do, they are such a great fish to breed 8)

Crikey that must be huge dimensions height and width wise :lol: We had a 5ft that was 700 wide and 700 high and that wasn't 1000 litres

Ages ago as of about 2 years ago, the rams that came into the country were of great health, we had a couple of pairs that lasted a long time... even bred in the planted tank, really healthy... but have noticed alot that have come in recently... like months ago till now are of poor health, have hollow guts, just not the fish that used to come in ages ago.

Wicked pics Mystic, thanks 8) Is that your crab? My guy seems alot different... he seems to have stripped large nippers, different in colouration I am pretty sure.. will get some pics tonight. He seems to love noshing down on food... pretty happy to keep him, he is going in a much larger tank. Some marine literature had referred to them as garden crab... wonder if it is just a case of typical common names :roll: 8)

Thanks for the info Mystic 8) Appreciated 8) Yeah have pretty much sussed over the requirements etc however just don't want to go out and buy just any old brand of chiller, want to buy something decent and know that I have spent the money well instead of whoops... :-? 8)

Congratulations There is a lady here in Napier who has bred Bangaii Cardinals, don't think they were artifically incubated tho... not sure... But I know the feeding and care of them as a pretty full on task.. Good Luck with the little guys

They will grow rather rapidly fed well from such a small size and then the growth commonly slows down somewhat after they reach around the 5 inch mark.. (13cm)..

Oh cool that's good for platy people to know Cam, I never really took any notice of the privates :lol: I guess its a case of some platys have bigger wotsits than others... :lol: Depends if they are blessed or not..
