Due to a booking at the National Aquarium, there will be no meeting this Wednesday. We will be having a BBQ at the Eskdale Domain, Shaw Road, Eskdale instead. This will be at 11.00am on Sunday 29 November. Salad and non alcoholic drinks provided, please bring your own food to cook on the BBQ. This will incorporate our end of year auction, so bag those fish well, I can bring a couple of poly boxes to keep them in for the duration.

That's what happens when someone who knows nothing about tropical marines designs an aquarium building, despite the protestations of the staff... There are actually quite a few fish in there, but they manage to hide pretty well - I think they need a nice big school of blue/green chromis.

Went to the opening on Friday, here are some pics. Tank is 3m long by 600mm high, don't know the depth, but will find out.

Yup, I have four or five, they live in a 2ft tank with a 800lph pump and an ugf and a heap of crypts.

Yup, they like high oxygen levels as well, I am tempted to put some shrimp in with mine, but I am trying to breed them, so it may be counter productive - can just see them now, stalking little fry with those pincers... -
