  1. Have you tried unplugging the router and counting to ten, then plugging it back in again - just turning the switch off doesn't count! (This is what the Sky people always ask when you have a problem with your decoder )
  2. Hmm, the classes are not listed like that, I will look at adding them to one of the breeding pages.
  3. You don't have to scream and shout, you just done let them make some lame excuse and accept it, don't take it, ask them what they are going to do about the problem. Did they provide the router, or did you purchase it, because if they did, and it is faulty, they should be providing you with another one if it is not very old.
  4. My sinuses are so bad that it feels like I have poked myself in the eyes with it at the moment
  5. Could be your router, ours spat the dummy and we had to get a new one, the upload speed was so pathetic that you couldn't attach anything to an email, no matter how small. Don't let them fob you off, either, they will try and put the problem down to anything but their system.
  6. Have you complained about it? I would hardly call that an acceptable speed for 'broadband'

  8. Yowch - and it probably costs you more as well! Ours is pretty mercurial as far as speed goes as well.
  9. Hi Shmoo Sorry to report that we encountered some problems loading the database onto the dev server, we are still working on it.

  11. Here are Hristo's photo parameters: About my equipment: My camera is CANON 350D + two of my favorite lenses: EF 50 mm/f2.5 Compact-Macro and EF 50 mm. f/1.8 II In the beginning, I made my photos with a bright tank lightning or used the camera’s flash with diffuser… Next period, putting externally Speedlite 430EX over the tank… And lately, I made my shots with Canon Speedlite 580EX situated over the tank, wires connected with the camera in “master” mod and Speedlite 430EX like straight “fill” flash (slave mod)…The both are with diffuser! My usual settings: Shutter Speed: 1/200 seconds Aperture Value: f/14-22(dependent on the fish specific and fishes position) ISO Speed Ratings: 100-400(dependent on the object specific) That what I want to say for the final is: - There is no “universal recipe” ” for making good pictures…!!! - Every situation, dependent of so many things, is different… - There is an equipment level minimum from where you may start to make really good pictures( DSLR camera, special lenses, external flashes…) - Never underrate the good lightning – as brightest is it, so detailed could be the picture…!
  12. They are usually silver/grey and the dorsal fin is not pointed at the tail end. Young Female Young Male
  13. They have to be between 30 and 60 days old to count...
  14. Oh no ... at least he would have been comfy for his last few hours, at least you tried.
  15. Thanks Sam, but I have ten or so swimming about at the moment.
  16. I need them to be counted for a breeding cert before I let you have any more 'riccia' Sam so that will be thirty days at the least!
  17. They are surface dwellers, a HOB should be fine, if you don't have too many fish in the tank you could probably get away with a sponge filter - mind you, I don't know how messy a BN is. I can send you a few boys if you pay the courier fee
  18. Does that mean that you are behind in getting me the info to update the main site?
  19. I don't think trimming it makes much difference, it will always grow to the height the light/fert conditions dictate, and as you say, the mess is something that you would not want to deal with. Mine would grow up to 50mm long and smother the dwarf sag. I think I still have bits of it stuck in some of my nets where you seem to be forever trying to scoop it out of the tank after a haircut
  20. I agree with Morcs, even an edge that goes just below the lamps will stop the glare from the lighthood. It also may help hide the bush pig wiring job that I am turning a blind eye to... See if you can get some 16mm capping to run down the wall to hide the cable, not the ugly top hat shaped stuff, either, the one with the lid.

    DIY Metal Halide?

The Addlighting one is High Pressure Soduim (HPS) and is not the correct type of light for a fishtank. Does it say how old the TM one is - I mean the lamp, they need replacing every 6000 - 10000 hours depending on the brand. Also you should find out how much a replacement lamp is, and how readily available they are for the colour temperature it is. You looking at marine or freshwater? Have a look here, http://www.fitchfamily.com/lighting.html
  22. You haven't got one of those cheap multiboxes, have you? They are really good at ejecting plugs when they feel like it.
  23. Oh yes you will!!! Breeding rego froms can be downloaded from here: http://www.fnzas.org.nz/index.php?PG=breedingscheme
