  3. I'm thinking of setting up a Guppy Tank, but have always had this urge to have some Killies, can I put them in the same Tank?
  4. OK thats one option, what about something abit more Bushy??
  5. Looks similar to Val to me, is it or not?? I had twisted Val in my Tank but it's take forever to grow, have to say I'm abit impatient when it comes to plant growth lol
  6. I'm looking for a Plant that grows quite Tall, to go into my AR620T Community Tank. Any suggestions Guys?? I was thinking maybe something like Indian Fern might be quite good, really not wanting anything that goes all scraggly.
  7. Awesome Stuff MarkLB :bounce: :bounce:
  8. If you go with an Aquaone, I would definitely recommend you go with an External Filter instead of running the Tanks Inbuilt Filter.
  9. More money for some new Fishys then Caryl
  10. How bout trying a few whizzed up veges in a blender, then syringe feed him for a wee while.
  11. Husband was up in Palmy, so got him to go into Animates and pick up another Heater, will take the Faulty Heater back and get a refund for it. When I took it out of the Guppy Tank it was full of water, so not sure whats going on with that.
  12. Wow that was very Interesting
  13. Have to agree with Bilbo Excellent stuff, I dont think it's worth the mucking around with Higher Temps and Salt to be honest, I would rather treat with WhiteSpot Meds and knock it on the head as soon as I can
  14. Thought it was funny how my Red Rose is the smallest of them all but the Bossiest, so thought with his Bossiness he would have been the Biggest
  15. I can highly recommend the Aquaone Tanks, I have 2 of these I have an Aquaone AR980 which would be similar to the size your looking for, not sure your going to get a New Tank SetUp for round that Price though, as Phoenix said maybe a cheaper option to get a New Tank made then shop around for the Lights, Heater, Filter etc...
  16. Hmmm Are they ?? Never looked at that to be honest with you
  17. I bought an Elite 100W heater a few weeks back, so put it in this Plastic Box that I'm using as a Temp Tank for my Guppies. Has anyone had any trouble with these?? I put it in the Guppy Tank yesterday afternoon, wound it upto 24, went out for tea in Palmy came home checked on it, the light had turned off so I thought the Tank must have been upto the required Temp, check it this morning when I feed them, thought it felt abit cold, so looked at the thermometer and the Temp was 20 Wound the heater upto 26 then 28 then 30 nothing happened, continued to turn it upto 32 as far as it goes, then the light finally decides to come on So I'm assuming this Brand New Heater is FAULTY, anybody had any trrouble with these. This Heater was alot more than what I normally pay for a heater, and what I thought was good quality, but obviously not.
  18. That was going to be my next question Hans :-? Do you have Fish in the Tank that you are wanting to experiment in??
  19. Woohoo :bounce: Thats Awesome News, good luck with Abigail, Craig and Jane Remember paitence is a Virtue
  20. That seems abit strange that your Rose Red hasn't grown either. What symptoms did your Rose Red have??
  21. You will be surpriased at how quickly they get their Angel Shape, they look soooo cute when they are soooo little. :bounce:
  22. Apparently if the Discus is not Flicking it's Gills or Flashing against things then it's not Gill Flukes, but something else Bacterial, so I'm assuming thats why Ron suggested using the Furan2, rather than the Droncit. Hard to know what's the best thing to treat with sometimes.
  23. What human Supplement Tablets are you talking about??
  24. Hi Karen, I too have a Rose Red that I got from Ron, he's a right little piggy, but for some reason has never grown as big as the other Discus I have in the Tank. He's the smallest out of the 7 Discus I have, but have to say he is the bossiest, he loves being handfed Tubifex Worms. Ron suggested I treat my sick Blue Turk with 2 Capsules of Furan2 in a Hospital Tank of 40 Ltrs of Water. Leave for 24 hours, then do a near complete Water Change, then doses with 1 capsule of Furan2 for the next 6 days, with near complete water changes in between. The normal dosage for Furan2 is 1 capsule in 40ltrs of water, for 4 doses, with big water changes in betwenn doses. I think because this Discus was on his last legs Ron decided it might be good to give him a good boost of Furan2 to begin with, he seems to be doing well this morning. Awful when you know you have done all you can for a sick Discus, then all you can do is WAIT. This sick Blue Turk was a replacement for the Blue Turk I lost not so long ago
