and then you find....

Most of the so called "P. deissneri" on trade or information on net are not real deissneri. They are undescribed species.

The real P. deissneri is from Pulau Bangka. It looks quite similar to P. bintan in this picture, which also occurs in Pulau Bangka. Easiest way(for hobbyists like us) to tell them apart is the tail. P.deissneri is pin-tail while P.bintan is rounded tail.

These two species are currently in the trade(Mixed together in same shippment) under one commercial name of Parosphromenus sp "KAMIHATA".

Cheers

ill be scare too :rotf: if you look in the tank,, :digH: :rotf: and running :rotf:

You will keep Anthony Law... you will keep.

Nice pic Joe, I will attempt a pic of mine when I feed them next, I have one male and three females - which is probably not ideal since the males tend the eggs in the cave and the females go off and leave him to it.

Hello from Cromwell. We have passed quite a few bodies of water (Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki among them) but not seen any fishes. Not that we looked hard!

Went to the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre at The Hermitage by Mt Cook. We will have to believe them about the mountain as it was raining hard and very foggy so we couldn't see any majestic alpine anythings.

Heading to Dunedin tomorrow and will be going on to Invercargill later in the week. Must check up on what Godly3vil is doing with all the plants! Perhaps a surprise inspection is in order

Sounds like fun, trust me the Alps are amazing when you get a good day to view them on :slfg:

Better get scaping then I guess, plants are going to a good cause, trust me

I highly recommend the Mitai maori village in Rotorua, we had such fun, and the hangi is to die for. Today we are just taking it easy, enjoying each others company knowing that only two weeks are left before my mommy returns back to South Africa :tears:

Your hose is running Sam!

I spoke too soon F15hguy, it then started to spit and is now overcast. The sun keeps attempting to show so hopefully we won't get wet or freeze to death at the albatross colony.

Visited The Pet Warehouse this morning.

How does that make you want to . Seriously! I thought it was awesome :slfg:

-It's not stinging the persons eye it's just sitting on there.

It's not even sitting there, it's photo-shopped - it's still rather icky.
