I used both the 18-55mm and the 55-250mm kit lenses

also have a 100mm macro. I bought this second hand for $600.

Hi TTK. That first pic of the little boy at the beach deserves a frame and a wall to be hung on. It oozes the feeling of a beautiful summer evening after a day playing in the sun. I swear I can smell a BBQ :hail:

Too bad it's got some kid blocking the shot. :D

Agreed, it's a great pic. But I think it would have been even better if you'd included his full reflection in the sand - makes it more "deep", like he's contemplating his own reflection.. (even though he's probably just looking for worms haha)

Actually he was mid way through a big whine about something. Just pausing for some momentum. Now I keep looking at the photo and am all annoyed about not having the full reflection in there!

Ahh, don't worry about it. Nobody is ever fully content with their photos. It's the hunger for perfection that keeps us going (well, me anyway)..

Might be worth investing in a set of filters for beach scenes. Just google Neutral Density filters and you can see what people do with them, really amazing stuff. I'm saving up some money to get a full set so that I can do smokey water shots at sunset (never sunrise lol.. wayyy to early for me)
