MarkLB
At the moment I own a small foundry. I spend my days playing with molten wax and stainless steels. It can be hell in the summer but nice'n'cosy in the winter

MarkLB
cool mark. what do you normal cast? Most of our work is for marine and food handling applications. Jetboat impellors, components for meat working chains, agricultural machinery and food processing plants. All our castings are stainless steel alloys, anything from a 304 grade steel to steels hard enough to make knives from.

MarkLB
A Katana would be too long for my plant. I could do a blade around 370mm including the tang, but using my process would cost too much for a one off casting.
