  4. i got two 9kg bags. pm me
  5. nice big fish room, You should line it with something other than gib as there is a lots of moisture , over the long term t will damage the gib .
  6. Qualified accountant who has some experience in pet stores would be a better bet. A accountant can do forecasts and budgets. But from experience I doubt it is a sound venture given the trend of failing pet stores over the past few years.
  7. Nice idea, but reality is that it is not profitable or there is not enough margin. To make any money you need to have high turnover so that cash keeps coming in so you can pay for staff and your fixed costs, rent , loans etc. Most stores these days sell cheap novelty goods as they are cheap and bring in cash daily, but with marines nothing is cheap. Also you need good cash reserves to fund growth and times when things are quite. most Business's these that don't have good capital fail. unfortunately the pet industry is not doing great, it is far too competitive, to many selling on trade me/ online stores which is killing it.
  8. Weirpro? Pure quality specialist. Those controllers are hopeless as they reset themselves in a power cut
  9. Not to sure about that, You will be amazed how much dirt is produced by corals. My coral tanks get far dirtier than my fish tanks.
  10. Sure would be pointless as no one would pay the price for them. We seems to have a good selection if you can find them.
  11. its a bit more to that as you will need a quarantine facility/permits etc. no one imports plants as cost can't be recovered. Especially these days as MPI sting you for every cent. They basically think they own you wallet.
  12. You can't get new fish added so plants will be impossible.
  13. not really, selling and breeding multiple fish could be considered a business. it is on trademe
  14. That covers about 99% of hobbyist/breeders who sell multiple times and don't end up paying taxes Nice fish but i read somewhere they only live for about 8 years. lot of money. i quess its like buying a car
  15. I quess if someone is serious interested in the fish they would go and view it as for that type of money I would not be buying a fish blind. Good opportunity to get a nice fish as u don't see them often and a very high risk import given the price.
  16. dead coral/rock. same thing
  17. Yes , its normal, its all the dirty from the rock, After 8 weeks do a 50% water change.
  18. Formosus- gold and red, Can't get better photos, hard with the blue background

    Importers

. So true, you bring them in and when they see the price you don't see them again  For most a fish is a fish, only experience hobbyist seem to appreciate quality of a fish.
  20. Here are some cool ones. Some are golden and reds. Very hard to get decent photos with blue background.
  21. Rowaphos is good for removing PO4 and organics What test kit are you using as most can not read low enough so it is likely to be much higher. More info http://nzmas.co.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13226
  22. As suggested do big water changes and don't feed fish for 3-4 days.
  23. Tank water quality looks pretty bad. Fish require good water quality. I would look at weekly water change, I assume you filter your water with di/ro
