How would you come to that conclusion? Most people making the negative comments would not have a clue and likely killed many fish themselves. Tanked is made for TV viewing otherwise the general public would not watch it, so Most of the tank set ups are planned months in advance and you don't see really how long it actual has taken to set these tanks up . Some of these tanks have massive water volume with little fish so cycling these tanks will not be an issue. In general taking fish from the reefs could be seen as not the right thing to do as many fish are killed, but we still have fish tanks. i would say most of the tanks would have someone doing the maintenance as they are not budget tanks where cash is not a problem.

i would get a expert to make a tank that size, glass is so expensive these days so you can't make any mistakes.

i doubt you will overskim with these budget skimmers. If you tank is 350L then get a skimmer that is rated for a 700L tank. yes, if you get a skimmer that is too big then it will not skim effectively as it needs something to take out to work well. yep, it will make her eyes water. :sml1:

I doubt it really matters if you get a smaller filter as once the tank is established the bacteria in the Tank will break down waste.

Would be pretty risky making a tank that size if you have no experience in making tanks.

I highly doubt you will not have to cycle the tank. Any fish needs good water quality .

UV required is 130 µWs/cm2 , so it is not a hobby UV. likely to cost over $2k. more than the tin shed.
