  4. Actually Erma and MAF have been very helpful in the Project. Taken lots of feedback and changed things to suit my requirements. All information is on the ERMA web site.
  5. you have to have the coral, i just dont want any photos,,
  6. cracker , you need to email me the photos, i dont want them on the thread as it will slow it down. Also the photo has to be signed, all i want at this stage is to find out who has these items so i can get the photos sometime.
  7. I need these photos to get them added to the list. Steve Wood go and do something instead of pissing me off, i am spending hours to get things added and as usual you do nothing. Actually what have you ever done for the hobby, let me quess, NOTHING. Will also need some fish photos soon, like flame hawkfish. pseudochromis,

  11. Good idea lighten up then and stop complaining, , i was only giving you some pointers . always like to help out newbies and take them to the next level of reef keeping. Fact :rio are not good pumps. especially if being used for pressure. Your x reef skimmer would have been a better choice as at least the specs stack up. i fail to see how a bsi-606 does a 1400L tank as it is only a 150mm tube. Not trying to critisize you at all , just pointing out things to look at. I did not mention anything about what type of skimmer you should use, I base my comments on experiance and pretty much what any advance reef keeper will tell you.
  12. to get becketts skimmimng well you need big pumps. rio wont cut it. the tube of the skimmers is only 150mm, pretty small to upgrade .
  13. what happen the new tech xreef skimmers, i thought you were going to try them out.
  14. Maf and Erma are reviewing the import health standard as it has not been updated for a long time. Once the review is complete people will be able to make submissions as to any changes.
  15. Dont even waste your time, i doubt a phone call is going to change the law. As i said i need people to email me if they have any of the above. i dont need people to post the pics on the forum. here is the erma web site. http://www.ermanz.govt.nz/
  16. Ok, let me know how you go, contact ERMA in wellington.
  17. You can’t do anything about it. Importers are working on it to get a workable list. It is a possibility that items can be added, but to do this we need proof that it is in the country, I need these photos as this is the chance to get them added. Otherwise be prepared to keep just the basic fish and coral.
  18. good quote below from warren
  19. Been working on the new MAF coral/fish list and need some photos of species so i can submit them to see if they can be added to the list. I need photos of the following livestock. if you think i missed something please email me, please email me if you have any of these items on [email protected] Heliofungia actiniformis Herpolitha limax Blastomussa Blastomussa loyae Blastomussa merleti Blastomussa wellsi Nemenzophyllia turbida Scolymia australis Scolymia cubensis Scolymia lacera Scolymia vitiensis Scolymia wellsi Millepora Millepora Dichotoma Millepora Playphylla WELLSOHPHYLLIA RADIATA HELIOPORA COERULEA ricordea yuma ricordea florida amplexidiscus fenestrafer discosoma spp rhodactis cf.inchoata rhodactis cf.indonsinensis rhodactis cf.mussoides Klyxum aasp (Alcyonium sp) Discosoma cardinalis Discosoma coeruleus Discosoma marmoratus Discosoma mutabilis Paralemnalia aasp DENDROPHYLLIA FISTULA /SUN POLYPS (L) LEMNALIA ANTHELIA ALCYONIUM PALMATUS CLAVULARIA VIRIDIS SOLENOPADIUM Lemnalia Discosoma malaccensis (common) Discosoma striatus (stripe) Discosoma marmoratus (marmer) Discosoma ferrugatus (red) Discosoma punctatus (spotted) Discosoma coeruleus (blue) Discosoma coeruleo-striatus Discosoma plumosa Rhodactis cf. 20. one thing about the closed loop i dont like is if the pumps leaks , the whole tank could drain. Looks good anyway.
  21. They only stop and start, so power heads will get wasted as they are not designed to stop and start. Bit of old technology.
  22. why? i thought it look good as is. Not much rock so some dirt getting under the rock should not be a problem. looks nice and clean
