  1. First could be Electra and the second is not a German red
  2. Going through the xray should be fine
  3. Get someone to take you to the airport
  4. I have done it. Did it 2 months ago, only Air NZ does it. The 100ml rule doesn't apply to domestic flights
  5. As usual I have purchase more fish than I have space for, so need to buy more tanks :happy1: Thinking about buying a steel stand, can anyone tell me someone that can make one for me? Any help or ideas would be great
  6. Either way they are great parrots. I have both galahs and eclectus. Gotta say that eclectus are much louder, especially the hen.
  7. Quakers are cool. I like them especially the blue mutation. Only if this was America and we could get other colours. You should get an eclectus IMO. Nice personality and know how to play nice. I keep parrots aswel
  8. Great looking tanks and colonies!!!! love the duboisi !drool:
  9. Tropheus don't necessarily bloat like a balloon. Another thing apart from staying away from food is, they can eat it and throw it back out. Their behavior also changes alot. Eg; they hide alot more, stay in the darker part of the tank if there is one.
  10. More males than females tho.
  11. You should mate. I would pay to get those in my fishroom. It's not like we see them everyday.
  12. Rofl.... My vote will be for tan rabbits. Not many in New Zealand now but I have some young comming up later in the year:) I usually get black or brown. Google for images
  13. Its made my day as well!!! But I would be afraid to ask how much tho :tears:
  14. Personally I thing you cannot really fix it but if you were to take good care of them by providing good food plus optimal water quality you may reverse some of the damage.
  15. From memory i think I got my ikola colony in December and they were 3-5cm, started holding properly in June the following year.
  16. Just wondering if someone can help me out and tell me the time frame regarding the growth rate of tropheus fry to adulthood? It's been ages since I have grown fry to adulthood.
  17. Good topic! I do cull the runts and the ones that don't look good from birth BUT if the deformity was due to an injury I don 't mind breeding from such individual. Goldfish is a good example and the same goes for someof the crappy cichlids out there. Mainly Malawi cichlids. Selective breeding is something that I like but if that leads to a bad outcome I would rather not go down that path. I love some of the selective bred Malawi peacocks eg. Ruby red peacocks, albino eureka reds, fire fish, dragon bloods etc.... They are some great looking fish. If it wasn't for selective breeding we won't have them.
  18. Yea they do have a blueish colour. They are about 1.5cm now and starting to colour up. So you are next with pictures?
