    think they are hybrid mate.
  2. yes they did come in as Masked Julidochromis' BUT they have to be some sort of vaiant don't they. So what you are saying is tha even if there were 2 different shipments of 'Masked Julidochromis' come in, and they are visually different they should still be put into the same tank/bred just because the suppliers did not provide a catching location/variant and called them Masked Julidochromis. For example 3 years ago a shipment of compressiceps-'red fin' came in which looked like redfins. Then in the last year there were 2 shipments that were labeled the same but visually different. According to what is being said here we/i should put them into the same tank and not worry about it just because the supplers identified them as being the 'Red Fin' Variant.
  3. Julidochromis transcriptus (Katoto), i am not 100% sure, but will post pictures tonight
  4. Agreed with afrikan. I have a few young growing up, from my original group the only female has killed 2 others. At the moment i have got 3 males and a female, and she breeds even 7-10 days, unless you disturb them somehow (thats what i did) I saw pairing activity at about 4-5cm. somewhere in december
  5. i can only remember one person selling at that size ay
  6. Yea they are very nice. How rude..it took you that long..haha
  7. lol..they are just in my 5ft for now..in the process of getting fish for them now to set up a malawi tank so that they can eat as many eggs as they want, for now they are eating tropheous eggs i think
  8. yea bro. please get the spelling correct next time okay
  9. Here are some of my synoz
  10. they loook really good dude!!! mint 10/10
  11. what i am saying is that possibly a few generations ago they could have been crossed. The yellow albino and the white and yellow albino, and then crossed the young to get albino again. But these crosses still may mask the other albino gene since its recessive. So lets say yo have 2 of these albinos then you will end up with 'some' normals. I have read this in plecofanatics aswell but cannot find it again. they had pictures aswell
  12. they are in New Zealand mate. Remember there were some on the list Called Yellow Ancistrus? I think they were those ones ay...
  13. I just think that they looked yellow...the ones that i had. Mybe the picture says a 1000 words. Try and keep them seperate if you can so that we have both types in NZ
  14. Anywhooo...i found the answer to the problem while researching for information for my L255. There are apparently 2 different kinds of albino BNz. Which i agree with. The ones i had, which came from a supplier were a pure yellow form. Then there are ones that are still on the list which are of the yellow and white form (i have seen these aswell) I remember mentioning to Kayle once that mine didn't have the white sorta dots (Well i couldn't see them). I originally thought that they were Albino GBAz or somethanng. The story goes that if you crossed these towo ALBINO forms you get normals. In your case you have got normals and albinos.which may be possible if a couple of generations ago the same thang could have happened. Well here is a pic of my female that i had quoted From: Ancistrinae Internet Lecture

    Cuckoo Catfish

I just want to find out if anyone has seen any Synodontis Multipunctatus around in shops. I am interested in getting some of these for my african tank. Need a couple more to add to my colony. I think that these are the real deal this time. View the following website for a picture. http://www.scotcat.com/articles/article29.htm
  16. Looks like GBAz. Golden Blackeye Ancistrus L144. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=905 http://www.planetcatfish.com/shanesworl ... cle_id=310
  17. here are some more cats that i have got
  18. something that i have read is that when you have new fathers or young plecos spawning it is always good to put a stone or something under the entrance of the cave.Even if the eggs were to get blown out it should fall back in. Just 1-2cm lift seems to work well. Also this problem is mosly common in hypancistrus and peckoltias and not Ancistrus due to the eggs clumping. Hope you get an idea of what i am trying to say. Do another waterchange and the other females may follow the lead
  19. Its all good bro. Happy you got them to spawn.
  20. great suff mate. Hope all goes well for you.
