  1. welcome back control! very true (especially when it comes to stuff like Zeospur2)
  2. http://www.zeovit.com/DTOTQ/index.html not a bad looking tank is it?
  3. sounds like a flatworm if it has no visible gill structure. dangerous maybe, if it gets sucked into a powerhead most likely as some release a poison into the water to repell predators.
  4. another great Tui's add for the billboard. yeah right.
  5. if he is not in the shop look for the staffroom as he will be on a break! better check there first as it will save you some time trying to find him.
  6. thats what i always believed! but have to say that my round 150 w pendant is so much brighter then my square arcadia. the pendant just seem to reflect the light so much better.
  7. more likely a larger crab (now you will say that you don't have any, ) i believed that my tank was crab free after removing 3 larger ones to my sump when i upgraded. 6 months later i found another big one (and no i didn't introduce any new rock). and the only reason that i new i had another large crab was the loss of some leather coral branches. damn crabs.

hi DragonReef welcome to this forum. got him for approx. 6 months maybe a bit longer. only problems i had was the loss of all visible tubeworms he can reach. i also now make sure that i always have a couple larger aiptaisa in the system as my copperband does not touch the food i feed, but relies fully of whats in the tank. i got one because i was not able to get rid of my aiptaisa, tried KW paste (which burned one of my LPS), joes juice (expensive), hot water and so on. it seems i was able to kill the aiptaisa but within days new little ones sprouted where mum used to be. i now have about 8 nice big ones which the copperband doesn't touch but no visible little ones anymore. mine does not nip on any other corals at all, but this may be just luck! also my tank has a large population of little critters he shares with a scooter blennie.
  9. this makes a lot of sense to me. wish other people that post info would follow their advise. no BS thats a fact!!! show me your money, no sorry tank that is!!

i have 6 or 7 really nice big beauties in my tank! funny that everyone that first comes around tells me i should kill them off! after explaining that they are a great food source for my copperband (not the big ones but all the babies) they all turn quiet. i guess that if one can keep them under control they are not bad at all.
  11. what ever tickles your fancy. pink if you like!
  12. you missed one "i am a 19 year old student who knows it all so don't use it because its bad just can't tell you why" sorry had to take the piss no offence to anyone this may apply to
  13. just use a new scrubbing brush on the rocks and rinse well.
  14. most welcome to pop in when you're up, this way i would know who i abuse on this forum personly (just kidding). hope to see around.
  15. it could! drip a little bit of oil (fish or shellfish not car) on the surface and your skimmer will collapse for a while. why not the opposite, put some new ASW into your tank and some skimmers go into overdrive.
  16. local snails will only live for a short time and then die. have tried a few times and i run my water cooler then most on this forum. longest survivor was 6 months at best. also some need tidal activity and seem to leave the water and then wait for the tide to return. which doesn't happen very often in closed systems :-?
  17. what is it? best of the year started ZEOVIT , worst nothing realy.
  18. looks like that my old AB 150w still has had some power left in it! looks a lot brighter now.
  19. most of us are thats one reason i run a berlin classic. no smart comments please it does work.!!!!!
  20. if you still want to use it thats ok, just pre-order more stuff from brendon, sure he'll be happy. money mummm. will still look for the articles for you
  21. will make sure you know where it is this time!
  22. don't really know, but would say it is (99%) never opened in my tank but lives on anyway! wish it would be that easy, but lots of other leathers doing great. had that one in a high nutrients setup before upgrading, and it was still unhappy if thats the right word for it. just doesn't want to open.
  23. what was and is your salinity did it change with or without your knowledge ?as larger flactuations will kill shrimps quickly.
