okay.. I have an aqua one 5' tank (370Lish) that currently has cichlids in it.. and I'm kinda wondering whether it might be time to try something else for this tank.
It's got an inbuilt filter (sits on the top) which I was planning not to use unless necessary, or to hold rowaphos/carbon/whatever/etc if needed - definitely not as a biological filter
So.. for keeping just fish/live rock, I'm guessing a skimmer would still be good, seems DeepBlue have WeiPro hang on ones for not too much.
So.. guess the question is, since I can't really run a sump on this tank or drill it without all sorts of fun, for a FLOWR tank, would the skimmer+live rock +some powerheads for flow etc provide enough filtration to keep the tank "cycled" as such? I don't mind the heater being in the display tank (can hide it I'm sure).
