i have FLUKERS calcium, it has D3 ADDITIVE, APPARENTLY this is bad if taken too much. just wondering what i cna use as pure calcium, can i crush some cuttle fish used for budgies? would this be ok?

no i found the last one in auckland lol animates had one tiny one for 100 i bought it and gave to him for raising till i get my tank sorted lol and at the same time, bought a sen and albino sen then the albino sen tried to eat the sen lol drama but he got them fat in less than 2 months now i have them

anyone here used the heat emitter, the ceramic heat emitter you fnd on trademe by exo terra. how long do they last? and can you keep them on 24/7?

how do i entice this one to eat? stressed abit, when i got it, it jumped out of container and had to pick it up and put it in the tank, then it squeeze through a hole the size of a pea.... fixed that foudn it after 1 hour, and its still alive!! i am relieved to my shame i shoiuld have left no chance of holes on the lids but anyways. since i got it, it hasnt eaten, while the senegalus thats smaller is eating like a maniac how do i make these eat? i want to feed it shrimp and sinking carnivore hikari as thats hte staple it will be on.

wbhat do you have for sale exactly and how much? i feel an impulse buy coming along

is there such a thing as too much sun? for beardies? or do they just naturally love sun!!?!?!

haha was concerned! it looks huge! i mean really bizzare huge, my large dats in the past never showed the massive bumps due to size i guess. but this is just a pig!

My dat (borneo tiger) is about 3 to 4 inches. very active and PIGGISH! damn! i mean when i feed the others, i grab a few sinking carnivores, and drop it, beforei t reaches the ground this thing will consume it so fast its all gone! litereally it will eat 10 to 15 pieces of pellets. Might not think its alot, but these things swell. (hikari sinking carnivores) and the fish is very small comparatively. now, im concerned, it might burst lol or do fish know better not to eat so much that their stomach rapture? after feeding, this thing will usually have its belly very very swollen. then it hides and digests, and comes out again next day. it eats absolutely everything (which is good!) algae wafers, shrimp, worms, beef, sinking carnivores, koi and gold fish pellets. basically anything you give it it will eat.

it has not settled and comes out to forage for food at night. belly is slightly on the bump:D so hopefully its gonna get bigger soon! ill be happy with 10 cms for now:d so i can actually see the damn thing

mixing anything comes with risks you see, so im surprised, but pleasantly of course:D flexariums are worth it.they have dropped in price. 200 for them. i think its good value. WHY? building your own involves time and measuring and things like that. i am not a DIY guy:D so i buy it, took 5mins to assemble, and takes one person to lift!!! very nice product!!!

i have the biggest flexarium exoterrayou can get. 1800x75x75 i think roughly. huge~!! put it outside as their sunbathing place, tried putting them together and was weary, wouldnt you know it, they are friends! beardie always on top of the wood bathing, BT on the ground sleeping under the sun - and sometimes thye sun bathe and are huddled together, eyes closed appreciatin the sun......... this is good news! so i can house them together! lol

havent seen it eat very shy fish gotta hunt around for it to see it but whenitsbigger, it will be more visible. its stomach has a bulge though, must have scavenged the small bits of shrimp and pellets on the ground

no not yet i jsut went to pick it up doesnt look like the one in mt roskill HFF, but it jsut arrived int he original bag, so i was reluctant to take it. the improter said its the same species and variation, and that trasport will change its colour and whne it settls it will start to get its true colours so the HFF guys kindly agreed to let it settle in their tanks so i can see
