  6. Hi Guys , well my problem is i have some cory fry that i'm not sure what they are, this is what i did and now think it might not be as simple as i first thought. I have a number of differant corys , namely , sterbi's , trilineatus, schwartz's,Zygatus, peppered ,bronze, Brochis Splendens, and a few more that i could not be because they have not given me eggs yet, All species are in there own seperate tanks so it can't be a hybrid etc But what i did when ever i moved any eggs from there parents i sent a tank and put all the eggs in there to hatch well many have and from looking at all but 1 set i know what they are and will move them before they can be breeding size ( again to aviod hybrids ) but this one set of fry i can't make my mind up on so any help would be great , sorry about the bad photo's but they are still very small at about 10 days old. The dorsal fin seen very large for the size of the fry and folds out like a fan if you know what i mean. Thanks
  7. i saw them last visit too and ALMOST had to buy some lots of floating plants , parents don't seem to eat either eggs or small fry , started on liquid fry food for the first week after free swimming them miroworms then very finelt crushed quality flake and seemed to have no problems ,...good luck KA

  10. Hi so going from both the deeper body and dorsal rays as can be seen in these photo's below , the first photo is a long finned bronze cory and has about 8-9 dorsal rays and the two below would be Brochis splendens having the deeper body and 13-15 dorsal rays , would that be correct ? it does tie in with what i have read.

  16. I've been getting very much into Corydoras latley and doing a fair bit of ready, i've come across these guys in a few of the books which seem for a want of a better discription " jumbo cory's" i know there not and are in fact a completely differant genus. Does anyone have any , know where to get any or any other Brochis ? From this site i can tell there was some in NZ ( entered in the national show ) in 2004 but what about now ? Any help would be great or even any thoughts from people who may have kept them in the past - pro's v cons etc Thanks
