  1. yes i could hardly belive it when i got Peters e-mail
  2. I've had an e-mail from Peter Cottle in england who is a renouned expert in Danios and he has told me there had been no confirmed breedings of this fish anywhere in the world and he seems pretty sure that mine is a WORLD first , this just blows me away, he himself has tried to breed them a number of time with no luck. Talk about over the moon ! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
  3. i know they are almost impossable to find , i found my 6 in a big tank with maybe 400+ danios in it in one of the Jansens, can't remember which one , you should have seen the guys face when i told him i wanted those 6, and i ment those 6
  4. yes mine are just like in the photo
  5. I'd been looking for these guys for a while after they were pointed out to me by another member of this site ( thanks Alan ) and have now managed to produce a good size spawning , i had spawned them a few months ago but only in 2 or 3's this time its in the 20-30's, an awesome little fish . has anyone else spawned these guys ? http://www.danios.info/Contents/species/danio13.asp
  6. Very Very Nice , and good pictures too
  7. Ok who wants to guess or count how many angel fry they have this spawning ? my guess would be 384.......
  8. Hi, as a matter of fact i'm just breaking down my cichlid tank , decided to give the malawi's a miss for a while
  9. Stop beating about the bush Errol tell us what you really think  8)
  10. Congrats on the spawning and i know just where your coming from excpt i have probably closer to 500 , mine are now aboutn 3 months old and doing very nicely, now for your questions. 1, if you crusg the flake up VERY fine you can start at about 3 weeks i found without any fear of any great numbers , introduce it along with the other food then stop the egg yolk, and later the brine shrimp too if you want too but they will love that even as adults. 2,I do very slow/low pressure syphoning into a bucket through a fine mess net so any babies get gentlely dropped into the net then returned asap t the tank but if your careful not many get sucked up. 3, i'd leave them to grow there until there at least 1cm then i'd say pretty safe to move them but do it it stages, say 50 one day leave it a week ,then 50 more till there over moved over , gives the filter time to cope with the extra numbers. Good luck there very pretty fish
