I use both mag chloride and epsom salts in the ratio wasp recomended. Epsom salts cost $6 per 250gms so it wasnt cheap. I got a 25 kg bag of mag chloride a while ago from med chem here in auckland, cost $140 or something like that. If you can organise others who want to share with you I dont mind getting another bag and sending it to you

my t5s are 300w, but on startup were over 2000w that was the problem. I hope the timer is all u need

my t5's burnt out 4 cheap timers, I had a electrician install a digital one with a relay(i think thats what its called) and havent had a problem since. My problem was on startup the wattage was too much for the timers and melted the contacts

go the t5's, 35-40 on 80 % of my water surface. I am running 5 80w. 2 6500k white and 3 blue. Readings directly under the whites are between 65 -72, and the blues 40-45
