thanks for all the replies. I am planning on having closed loops etc, I have been reading quite a few theads both here and on reef central which have been great. I will have a look at the calculator and see what i can come up with. thanks again

lol so far have quotes of $600 for 10mm and $1600 for 12mm, waiting on a few other quotes though

Hi, I will be ordering a new tank in the next few months but I am confused about what thickness the glass should be. The tank size will be approx 2.0 m long, 65cm wide and 65 cm high. I had though that i needed 12mm glass but have also been told 10mm would be ok, what do you all think???

reef racks look cool pies, but do they have/need supports or is the egg crate strong enough to suport the rocks

thanks for the advice guys, I think I will make space for one should I need it in the future. I know when I first step up my tank it was going to be a fish only tank with a few rocks, I said I would never have a reef tank, now it is more like a reef. Sometime in the future I may also get into stoneys who knows.

Hi all, I am looking at getting a Korallin 1502 calcium reactor from the states, my question is will the co2 gauges it comes with fit nz bottles or is there a fitting you can get for it. I currently have a 4ft semi reef with fish set up, but am looking at doubling its size in the next 6 months. I am only keeping mushrooms, anemones etc, do I even need a calcium reactor if I will never venture down the stoney coral road Cheers
