The Mag and Calcium I get is the purest in country, (Couldnt find anything purer anywhere). ....took me bloody days of searching , but found all chemicals 100% pure. (Used in HUMAN medicine) Good prices too. My SPS are awesome, they are very happy.

You wont need anywhere near that much Ira. It goes a long way especially in a 400 litre tank. Will last you ages.

The calcereous rock assists gretaly with Ph though...may be an issue.

yeah, youre probably right. its just good for ph and bacteria. probably not use it actually just to be safe. godd for the fish to hide though.

You take out the LR when using copper and put it back in later for normal operation. I only use copper when necessary and with fusy fish.

its only 40 litres with LR and an air skimmer. Change 20% every two or three days. (Not running copper). Dont like it unless necessary.

Its a bit of a pain, but not too bad.....wotrth it though eh? Once you start one, you see the inportance very quickly.

Algae cycling...not bacteria cycling... Sorry, should have explained! Tank still stabilising. Some of my rock is quite new...leaching nutrients for algae growth. (Note, RH rock in picture is new dry rock from hollywood....been in 3 weeks). about 1.5 kilo piece. Po4 = 0 No3 = 0.02

Update pic.... Still cycling, but Acros still healthy. This shot taken with direct afternoon sunlight on the reef. Interesting shot, but Acro colours are not normally this brown! (Sun is making them look brownish).

My skimmer is in my sump......I cant see it.

Can you just provide the few that directly apply to sand bed crah possibilities. also....if you are so against them, your tank must be a fine piece. why dont you ever supply pics for us to see? Are you all words? I hear you lost fish not so long ago also.......was this due to not QT ing properly which you should have known about also..... LAYTON, you cant just negative, negative, negative everything and everybody when you like, especially when you dont supply pics and also make mistakes like the rest of us sometimes. I also see you have agreed with myself in the past along with others. Sand beds are fine and I will prove this to you. Other reefers have had sand beds for 10 years and more with no issues, simply because of correct husbandry teqhniques. BB tanks are #$@*& ugly...... You dont see glass on the bottom af a fiji reef. I have searched for a sand bed crash and have found nothing on it. Who says sand beds crash...prove it to me Layton. Sand beds dont do shit if you look after them. Exactly the same about people going on about adding chlorides to the tank.... No proof of any issues...ANYEWHERE. The ocean is Sodium Clhoride for gods sake. Going to be a bit hard to build up chlorides when the whole bloody ocean Is chloride.

dont waste your time with marine fish then...they need constant care. go for goldfish.

recomend flake and frozen. why auto feed?
