  1. I looked at him this morning and he looks clear as a bell, no sign of the 3 or 4 spots I saw yesterday. I think a couple of cleaner shrimps in the tank would be a good idea. Thanks for everyones input.
  2. well mine is eating like a pig, fat and seemingly healthy BUT i,ve noticed just today some white spot on him. Whats the best course of action - I am not in a position to set up seperate tanks for medicating him. Should I get a cleaner shrimp??, or try feeding him anything different? any help would be appreciated.

    the ''tingle''

I've read articles both for and against ground probes. Another one of those reef questions that there doesn't seem to be definitive answers for. One strong argument for is that residual currents can cause lateral line disease in your fish. I read that you could get Titanium spokes through bike shops but this seems to be out dated now carbon fibre types wheels are used on top end bikes. I got mine through a specialized Tig welder (Titanium is welded in things like marine fittings and specialised refrigeration). I can source more if anyone interested but its not cheap - around $20 for 1 - 900mm tig rod.

Ah Warren your a champ, put the probe in the tank instead of the sump and tingle gone. Still not sure whats causing it though as like I said earlier, i've turned every pump off at one stage or another and it was still present.

ok Warren, I'll try that....put the probe in the tank. Home made by the way. Used a titanium rod, connect with electrical fittng to length of wire and connect to earth only on a 3 pin plug.

and it is only noticable on cuts or chewed finger nails . I've taken the probes from that unit out, didn't like that tingle, quite strong on those probes.

I've had a tingle in the tank since day one. I setup a titanium probe and it made no difference (all though its in the sump not tank), funny thing is i've turned every appliance off and nothing stopped it, so turned power off to everything at once and still had a tingle????? any ideas.
  9. worth asking Warren, thanks anyway. I"ve already asked him
