Both Duke, a stream 6080 uncontrolled, and the return on the same wavysea , very nice. PM Jetski, he's selling them.

better ask the tooth fairy Ira
  4. The come with a multi purpose bracket, that should do what you want, but by far the best option is the Tunze magnets that come as an accessory. Makes it very easy!!

    Wavysea

Wow, setup a wavy sea today, not just with the return flow but with a stream on it as well. :bounce: the flow is stunning, all around the tank, in the areas that were,( don't think they will continue to be) growing cyno/diatoms. With this and vodka, should kick the slime out. Had to move a few frags etc as the flow was blowing them about, and I think the fish will take time to get use to this sort of random flow. Well engineered, good controllability and excellent random flow, couldn't be more pleased. Will post some photos later.
  6. wasp, you should hire him to me
  7. They are visible on the montis, but i read somewhere that they can lay them on nearby rocks etc making them very hard to find. They will be there somewhere, but you doing all the right things, just keep looking.
  8. yeah Chimera, you have been very cranky lately
  9. Thanks Feelers, its not really cheap stuff, just a few dollars less than the smirnoff, and may well be triple distilled as well. I check when I get home. There are real cheap and nasty brands about, but I wouldn't use those. I drink the same brand in cosmoploitans  , so must be alright. I'll keep noting how it goes, started yesterday.
  10. both close to 40% alcohol, which is what the bact will use, so I'll see how it goes. How about you bring me 3 bottles of triple distilled back on duty free
  11. I guess you mentioned Cyno, and it went from there- didn't mean to hijack your thread pies.
  12. already bought a bottle of some cheaper stuff , full strength though. Triple distilled smirnoff is for me, not the tank

    Is this Cyno?

well it had it when your saw it on the weekend Rossco, so its not much, just enough to annoy me

    Is this Cyno?

yep, i read it, wasn't trying to pick a fight, genuine question. You know my tank, its low nutrient, I dont feed much or add anything, its got high flow, low nutrients, good coral growth and colour, a 902 pumping out liters of skimmate and Cyno. I think it could need more flow, as the are more and more quite areas, even with 3 streams. Still be interesting to see the effect of vodka.

    Is this Cyno?

Its easy to say that Chimera, but what if your already doing all that!! and that links ok, but they are selling a product.

    Is this Cyno?

looks similar to mine except its brown, and bubbly. I remove it during water changes, but comes back in a couple of days. Going to eventually increase my flow, but started vodka tonight, as a bit of a trial. Will let you know how it goes....
  17. Going to start tonight, 5ml morning, 5ml night. Thanks Wasp, look forward to reading it.
  18. Wasp, you tried vodka, saw your posts on RC, can you summarise what happened to you.
  19. or 2 6200s :-? Can you have 6100s and 6200s on the same controller??
  20. yep, I think it may be that as well, all ready 3 streams, 2 sieos (junk) and the twin returns... I need 2 more 6100s But will vodka help until then, if its invisible, fine, everything else is great.
  21. ok Layton, I agree, but how. Don't just say remove nutrients, what can I do that I'm not already doing - specifically. and remember my tank is doing great, colour, growth, general health, just patches of PITA cyno.
  22. (spell that!) erythromycin Vodka it is then.....
  23. what do you recommend then, will rowaphos work, or should I give vodka a limited run?
  24. What did he do about the cyno Pies, got a bit myself. Considering a short burst of vodka.
