Should be good, hopefully the four young will produce a pair
All nice looking fish from what i have seen so far. Also no  about who has the best etc
If it is working then run with it, that sort of growth is great.
The 1w per ltr is just a guide, what if you had a tank 300 x 300 x 1000 tall, would 90watts of fluro be ok? Maybe not.
How big was the tank, height is the main one needed.
Me to.
The only thing i can think of is that carbon reduces organic matter which can cause ph to drop. But in saying that if you did regular water changes then this shouldn't be a problem.
I have always used carbon for 2 weeks then changed it out, smaller amounts than packet said. Not using it now.
Ammo rid can have its place, if you have a major Ammonia problem then a water change and a few mls can be a good thing, to many water changes can be stressfull to.
Not right up with the tech side of things but basicaly transforms the ammonia out of the toxic form ( or gaseous state) into a non toxic form untill the filter get rid of it.
A net full of fire eels about 35cm long. Would have been about 10 from memory, they move like snakes and the distance they could go was out of it. Took about 10mins to get them all back.
A wrasse, i had a six line and never had a problem. Worms can be a sign of a high food source in the tank, they may just burn themselves out over time. How old is the tank?
how often were you planning on taking them out? You could just put a small drop of silicone in each top corner and then cut it out when you wanted it gone.
Don't know of any tank that would have a 10 Guarantee. Where is this info from?
I have never put a time that tanks ive made are Guaranteed for as the consumer Guarantees act cover it really.
I think a resonable time frame would be 2 - 4 years.
From dealings in the past suppliers don't, in general, cover damage or loss of property (consequential loss) in the event of something like this, however this was about 3 years ago. Some suppliers are better than others to.
I would say mussels as pippis live in sand. The only other shellfish i can think of that could be in the are with them would be oysters and they are not black.
Hard to tell in a bare tank really.
I think they have a much nicer shape than what you call Altums, they look more like, well body shape of standard ones and VERY average..
Ollys are small and im sure they will colour up, only time will tell
You will always have a small amount of Ammonia present, but 0.25 sounds a little to much.
Have you checked tap water with the same test kit? May be a kit problem or Ammonia in the water.
Yeah that sucks.
I hatched 3 or 4 nothos got them to 2 weeks old and another fish jumped in and ate them
Have about 50 of the same ones now so no major but at the time it wasn't good.
Sorry not the inlet, the outlet
Just like a spray bar, anything you can do to break the water surface will help, doesn't matter if it is your filter or air from a air stone.
You would have to get it spot on and i think the chances of that are very slim. The filter could stop if to much air got in.
How about just pointing the inlet out over the water surface, that would sort it overnight.
