  1. Ive got a heap of floating plant in my big tank know, im not sure what it is but it looks good, and is growing fast, pm me and we can arrange something. Shae
  2. hmm they might have spawned that night then, i am not entirley sure, however they were doing there spawning dance when the lights went on. Shae
  3. just aged water, i know rain water is softer, so next time i will use that, however bilbo was just here and pointed out, what my eyes couldnt see, it appears i have more than double the original estimation, so am a bit happier, i spose thats ok for the first ever spawn of tetra ive done. Shae
  4. It looks like i have maybe 20+ fry sticking to the walls of the glass and a few free swimming fry, so not a very succesful spawn, am in the proccess of conditioning the female again, hopefully i get bigger numbers this time. Thanks for the help, Shae

I got a very fat female and a male outta a pot luck comp from our club on weds, brough them home, put the female in her own tank, fed her up on BBS, then put the male with her the next night, turned on the lights at 6:30am the next day, left them in there for a couple of hours then removed them. Shae

  8. i havnt feed them yet? but i thought they were too small for microworms and bbs, yes it is my first tetra. Shae

  10. Yesterday morning at about 6:30am i spawned my New Black widows, got heaps of eggs and now they've hatched, there between the stage of swimming and wriggling, just wondering if theres anything i should know about feeding etc. Im just gonna use watered down liquifry. Shae

  14. It looks nothing like my java moss, if those pictures are of your plant then Christmas moss would be my guess, however i am no expert, someone else should be able to tell you. Shae

  21. First of all, Bill, i put the message at the top of the form to be as friendly as possible and i think you are being way to picky. I was simply giving a hand to the club, i now see that was a mistake. You do not regret your post Bill, You posted it for the purpose of upsetting me. and what i was doing was to help it get off the ground. Shae
  22. I've never known this illness to affect females only, i have not had this problem for along time know, when i was starting out i lost many batches of fry to it, have never lost adult guppys. My suggestion get them in a little planted tank, as there tails are pointed and there anal fins are clamped they start finding it hard to swim, so without males stressing them and not being to far from food, they should have a better chance at survival. I suggest livefood, pack the tank full of it, Daphny and Mossy. Shae
