  4. Well thats Just silly. Everyone knows linys have big mouths. Am i Right in saying that, Lineatus are from the Toothcarp family? and generally are renound for there large mouths? Im worried ive got my wires crossed somewhere. Shae
  5. Ive Had Blue Ram stand up to Red Devils. I wouldn't be surprised if they could handle being all together in a big planted out community tank. Also, those IMO are very good prices for tanks, issue is, its an Australian company Shae
  6. Of Coarse its a Possibility, but i very much Doubt it. I wonder how you know that it is not Internal Paracites? Shae
  7. They Will eat baby Guppys.
  8. Hope that provides some help. And Good Luck with your fish Shae
  9. Don't sweat it Dude, I’m usually the one making the mistakes Shae
  10. I wonder if you realise Pene, regardless i will tell you. Killies are often more than happy with Guppy’s, or as Community tank Fish. Infact, I used to keep Golden Australe in one of my Guppy Strain tanks, and they bred continuously all over the Broad Leaved Indian Fern and other plant, that had been miscellaneously placed in the tank at the time. Shae
  11. The locals are "suck friendly" ay?  sorry couldn’t resist Wonderful Pics Shae
  12. Killies Live, with proper care and conditions for 16-18months minimum, and that is only the Nothobranchius species, other killies live 3 years and more. Shae
  13. Okay I have three Suggestions. Hexamita (Hole in the head) Symptoms: What appear to be small holes in head, ulceration of lateral line. Another name for this disease is "Hole-in-the-Head" disease. Even though this is a disease of the digestive tract, it often manifests itself as ulcerations in the head and/or lateral line. Discus and other large cichlids, especially Oscars, are especially prone to Hexamita. As it is a disease of the digestive tract, a wasting away or loss of appetite may be experienced. An effective treatment is the drug metronidazole. A combined treatment in the food (1% in any food the fish will eat) and in the water (12 mg per liter) is recommended. Repeat the water treatment every other day for three treatments. Improvement in aquarium conditions has helped in the disease just going away with no treatment. Now although the above doesn't really seem to apply, i have heard of this disease causing such effects as mentioned by you. Ichthyosporidium Symptoms: Sluggishness, loss of balance, hollow belly, external cysts and sores. Ichthyosporidium is a fungus, but it manifests itself internally. It primarily attacks the liver and kidneys, but it spreads everywhere else. The symptoms vary. The fish may become sluggish, lose balance, show hollow bellies, and eventually show external cysts or sores. By then it is usually too late for the fish. Treatment is difficult. Phenoxethol added to food as a 1% solution may be effective. Chloromycetin added to the food has also been effective. But both of these treatments, if not watched with caution, could pose a risk to your fish. It is best, if diagnosed soon enough, to destroy the effected fish before the disease can spread. Swim-bladder Disease Symptoms: Abnormal swimming pattern, difficulty maintaining equilibrium. Swim bladder problems usually indicate another problem. If you suspect swim-bladder problems in a fish, first check and treat it for other diseases such as congenitally deformed bladder and Cancer or tuberculosis in organs that directly affect the swim bladder. As for the Fish that Died Yesterday, that could be a range of diseases, most likely would be Flukes, but Velvet and White spot, also invade and inflame or agitate the Gills Shae
  14. I hope with those readings you don’t have fish, because your tank has clearly not finished its cycle stage. Could we have some details on stocking if any, please? DO NOT use Chemicals to try stabilise a new tank, Your just going to make it worse and/or cause the cycle period to take a lot longer. Remember that over feeding causes many issues in the stability of your parameters, IF you are feeding then reduce the amount for a while. If you are going to use Frozen Bloodworms, remember that if you do not thaw out the small blocks first, it will increase phosphate, and cause algae blooms etc. Regards Shae
  15. For the record im in total agreement with you all, but don't think anyone should get themselves in trouble over it. Thought I'd Just mention the Giudelines simply for this reason Cheers Shae
  16. Be Aware! Just starting to touch on the border line. Shae
  17. Could possibly be internal parasites? Check its Gills for parasites; does it scrape itself against the gravel? Does it have rapid gill movement? Need a bit more info on its behaviour if that is possible. Cheer Shae
  18. Put them in a 600ml, coke bottle, half air half water, with a bit of plant, screw the top on tight, package it up and send it through overnight or two day courier. This is of coarse assuming they are small tadpoles, such as Whistling tree Frogs. Shae
  19. My suggestion, Piano wire . Run it straight through the joint, nice clean cut. Shae
  20. I have never found that solution or concentrate of salt to harm any of my plants. It does deffinatly not require any expertise, just follow the instructions given and you'll be fine. Now that it has disappeared from your fish I suggest a large gravel clean and/or water change. Shae
