Beautiful tank! How many Inanga do you have?

Thanks for all the advice! I have put a temporary divider between them. The kokopu has been investigating.

Hi Shilo The kokopu has a large fake log he can hide in (Which he often uses). There are a few hidey holes for the bullies but the bullies aren't scared of him. I feed the kokopu cichlid gold but he never eats much. I am not planning on putting the dwarf galaxias in as even the bullies have tried to eat it. Do you think I could make something like a cage to go in the chilled tank for it to live in? Thanks

A confession and some advice needed! I have had the kokopu for a few months with the plans of setting this tank up. I got it from MTI. About two weeks ago I put it with the bullies. The bullies inspected it and then it snapped. I removed the two bullies and put them into their old tank. The bullies tank is now getting too warm so I put them back in and straight away the kokopu gave chase. The bullies are back in their tank waiting for a plan. Any ideas other than another chiller? I'm also looking for ideas to make a cage for the dwarf galaxias. I was thinking a large container with small holes in it suspended in the chilled tank. Cheers

I'm thinking of adding a giant kokopu. Can someone please confirm it will not harm my bullies. One is 6cm and the other is 7cm

Hi Caryl, I have not tried removing the mould. I will give it a go next water change (Saturday). It is a new tank. No I have not boiled it as it's quite big. Thanks

I have noticed a small amount of mould on the driftwood in my native tank. Is this a problem that needs addressing?. Many thanks.

It's called aquatic soil and it lists no ingredients. On the bag it says: Blended specifically for water garden plants This soil is low nutrient (to prevent algae) and mixed with sand to provide an ideal planting media for any water garden plants.

Hi all, I want to have plants in my 150l tank so I am wanting some advice on some aquatic soil. I have this stuff for water gardens from the garden centre that I use for whiteworms. Could I use this for growing plants? Thanks

This has happened to me today, had to euthanise it.

A 350 litre tank with silver dollars and a mix of large peaceful fish, a community with barbs and tetras, a few native fish, six australe killifish and some wild mollys from the molly hunt.
