i think it would look ok for children but for most adult people the whole point of a reef tank is to bring a bit of nature into the living room (or closet) if you could find a realistic shipwrek and grow mushrooms on it then you might be able to pass it off

give him a PM, i dont think he has 6100's at the mo but they are upgradable and endup costing about the same anyway

i saw a big tank (full SPS reef) a few days ago on rc that had a Scubasteve in it.

dont get me wrong i think they are great, they move alot of water. but for the price of them i was expecting them to do water changes as well

so im trying to decide on which way to position the new streams that are in the tanmk to get the right flow onto my stoney corals but with out pointing the flow straight at them. the problem is on a tank my size that you cannot position them far enough away to have them pointed straight at the corals, and bouncing it off the glass doenst give the neccasary amount of flow

well i set up two tunze 6000's with a multi controller, (they fell off the back of a truck somewhere and i picked them up cheap at otara markets) i cant say that i was overly impressed but i plan to get the transformer to upgrade them to 6100's so that should increase the flow significantly

set them up this afternoon. they definatly spread the water out a bit, but i cant say that i was blown away. worth the money?? ummm i guess shame the vortex's arent coming out any time soon

lol. no i won't be getting them for a few months. i need to get some plugs first, i'll have them all wired up and running this evening hopefully the improved circulation should improve the water quality in the tank

about 50$ each, i need two, so thats another 100$ will get them eventually

should get a little darker as it gets older, and the white line might extend a little more down. miss barred clowns are cool

sheesh, give me time. i will, but if possible i will put off getting them untill my wife has forgotten how much the streams cost
