    BROWN ALGAE

i have two SAE's in my 800litre tank (forgot to ad that) but i am still going to try and get some synos for eating uneaten food/ let me know if/when your daughter wants to sell them. no harm done in out bidding me, it was probably better for me anyway. 8)

    BROWN ALGAE

i hardly ever get it, i dont normally leave the lights on my tank on, only when feeding etc. well i do keep them on on my planted tank cos it has plants. for pH a bit of stocking with aragonite in it in all of the canister filters, otherwise just baking soda occasionally to raise pH. 800litre tank is going fine thanx, male duboisi was trying to breed with his invisible friend today, maybe he was practising  btw about the water (i sent him home with a bag of water instead of a bag of water with and electric yellow male) how the the yellows going btw. and let me know if you have any fish for sale. are those lelupi going good as well??
  5. umm, they dont look like peacocks (aulonocara sp.) could be cyrtocara moorii (blue lumpheads) how big are they and what did you pay?? kylefish02 might know. pm him and see. they could be hybrids :-?

hi, i would suggest getting some adult bristle noses, these do a superb job in cleaning african cichlid tanks and dont get too big. otherwise just clean it off, i hardly ever get algae in african tanks anyway maybe bceause of pH?? and yes i am the guy you got the male electric yellows off. thanx Daniel

  13. i read somewhere (killies.com i think) that baby killies dont jump, is this true?? alan would hot water cupboard be ok?? the only thing would be that for water changes the temp would be different. my fishroom not heated like yours, just normal tank heaters is quite arm, warmer than room temp. i will see what temp it is later on.
  14. someone maybe bringing me one on saturday so dont worry.
  15. well a guppy jumped into the container (it is floating in the tank) and ate all but one of the fry   angry angry angry the container is about 10cm diameter and a few cm of water in it. still some eggs to hatch though, do you float yours in the tank alan?? hot water cupboard?? bbs are up and running, i will stick in a bit of java mos for them to pick off, so matchbox size aye?? pretty small :-?

  18. were they getting skinny?? did you ask the people/shop that you got them form what they were feeding them, maybe they didn't know how to eat it :-? sounds pretty strange but hey, anything is possible. 8)
  19. what are you feeding them?? i'm worried about bloat for the duboisis
  20. 10 liter/week in a 4 foot how many gaps are there around the lid??
  21. i only know of one pair of red empresses in n.z. frenchy 8) so i dont think they would be an option. o you mean electric blue mbuna or hap?
  22. algea eaters, chinese algea eaters or bn's (normal or gba), malawi cichlids you could have, electric yellows, lombardoi (kenyi), blue lumpheads, zebras. DONT go for any melanochromis sp. they are IMHO too aggressive for a tank that size.
  23. the horizontal bars and the yellow rimmed eye made me think it wasn't a pure bricardi
  24. looks like a hybrid to me, i could be wrong though, it just looks like a bricardi x with some other lamprologus sp.
