sorry for my late answer, must have missed this... check out this website http://www.batraciens.net/axolotl-groupe-froid.php it is in french but it shows many pictures with different plants (and a list of plants). or google Efeutute or Pothos plant (Scindapsus aureus) which is a good plant for an Axo tank, you can keep the plant roots outside the tank in a pot and just leave the plant itself grow into the tank. (and if you find them here in NZ please let me know where, haven't found them yet) beside this type of plant any sturdy aquarium plant will do (some of our lakes are full of one type of plant which probably came from a fish tank anyway)
