  2. Why are you not willing to provied a name of the company? I would hate to buy something from a shop and find out it came the same way, when your recomendation would of stopped me instantly.
  3. If you are buying fish and flying back, dont tell the airport staff or they could rob you of big big bucks
  4. And poo in the hairdryer like a real rock star

    Moving tanks

Good excuse to give them more room then aye......
  8. They grey ones with the orange are convicts, I am unsure of the other two I am sorry. Personally I wouldnt keep any of those cichlids in that tank, but thats me, the convicts alone maybe ok, or the others alone may also work. However the others are africans cichlids, and they do better off with a few to distribute aggression, so two may not work with them. Also convicts and Africans like diffrent water conditions, however convicts and most Malawis ( Lake your Africans come from) are normaly pretty hardy in diffrent conditions If I was you I would get a bigger tank if you choose to keep cichlids ( exception for dwarfs)
  9. 1. As stated in previous post, convict cichlids 2. I think its to small for them, from memory the tank is only 620mm wide (correct me if I am wrong) 3. As previously stated egg spots.often means its a male fish, but not always the case. Side note, dont expect the live plants to last very long. Chances are they will get dug up and nibbled on. The Cichlids you have should be easy to keep, weekly water changes, lots of caves/territory, good filtration, food.
  10. Study :nilly: :nilly: Its way to nice of a day to be inside doing this :an!gry :an!gry :an!gry On a side note, is there anybody on this forum who is at uni? ( I know there is, I just dont know who) Could said uni people pm me pretty pretty please :mbh:
  11. The spots you are refering to are egg spots, they are used in the reproducting process. generaly means its a male fish but thats not a 100% garenteed way to sex African cichlids. Unsure of the type of cichlid you have other than the convicts as Tom mentioned. Convicts breed like rats
  12. I thought the general concencus is that most people are over this, dont feel sorry as much anymore for what has happened and are now getting to the point of starting to despise the entire thing as it is felt that enough has been awarded to be fair. Charging someone to use a lake, is PATHETIC. Its a natural thing, its not a holiday home. Bishop
  13. I am aware of this, but I figure its hard to write a road sign, in sign. It wouldnt be racial, it would be plain nasty
  14. We are a bilingual country. Not using Maori language oppresses and discrimiates against them.
  15. I was told by my Te Pu tutor that it meant white fairy, and that the Maori race is very big on playing jokes and taking the piss. White fairy in turn now sounds like they are taking the piss out white folk. I think that comes under offensive dont you.

  17. :rotf: :rotf: opps I meant Tongan.
  18. What if you were born in NZ, but prefer your Togan heritage? I think calling your self an imigrint is a little belittling and opressing. If I was born overseas and relocated I dont think I would like to forget my heritage by calling myself an imigrint

    Longfin BN

Sweeet, thanks. I think I understand that. :dnc1: Looks like this project got much more technical than I had initialy thought it would be.
  20. The word Tauiwi is a much better representation than pakeha. Thats what I use to identify myself when I am in class, I like you godly would prefer Kiwi. I pose the question to you, What if you were not born in NZ, how do you identify yourself then?

    Longfin BN

OK, so from the new offspring your saying that they will all carry, the longfin, albino and brown gene? And from here I have to breed the offspring to get out the longfin gene? If this is so, do I breed from the albinos that came out or the browns or a mix? or does it not matter?
