    Little things

 Sounds like a bit of good fortune like this is deserved!
  6. Some great input from all, thanks for helping me work this out. Much appreciated
  7. Siliconing them together can help stability, but can cause rather heavy issues come removing time. I cant think of a blue hap that looks like an E yellow and I cant remember if my fryeri hap did much digging or not. But as a general rule I found most Malawis to dig, or rearange sand to their own liking.
  8. Rock pile looks mint. Just be careful with them as a lot of Malawis are diggers, so you may end up with squshed fish, or worse cracked glass.
  9. Thanks for the great reply! I now want to hear this story ....
  10. So I have been doing a lot of forum browsing about arowana tanks and keeping them as I am planing to set one up very soon. I always thought they were a keep only one per tank fish, but recently I have seen a lot of tanks with 3 or more in them, these tanks seemingly rather small housing rather large fish. Is this due to the price being cheap for them over seas and keepers not overly caring as they can get a replacement or is it as they are better in a trio or group if size of tank is acceptable?
  11. The label says Aquatic Soil, its made by Glenbogal Aquatic limited
  12. If this was me, I would of closed the tank down, cleaned everything/ got new gear and started again. I am sure you are trying to avoid this however.
  13. Agreed! I bid $600 on a drum set 10 hours before it closed once, I don't even play the drums! +1 on drunk forming!
  14. You will not be disapointed with tool, I saw them on the lateralus tour. It was well good! If I was up that way I would snap up your sabbath ticket!
  15. I like the third one. Looks like it gives good depth
  16. I will be needing some new fert in a couple of weeks so I will pm you sometime soon.Good thinking  Something I have pondered before as well! again good thinking
  17. Yeh that could be a goer, but I guess you cant stop natural instinct. So if its gunna happen its gunna happen.
  18. Yes this is also true, and it is also the reason I am umming and ahhing about it.
  19. Its not the smaller fish coming in I am worried about its the bigger ones. If a bigger one wants to fight a smaller one the smaller one will just be a snack
  20. They look nice on the white sub
  21. That is a very valid point about in the wild. But in saying that, a lot of them get eatn as well
  22. Even with that type of size diffrence?
  23. Big Fronts over 200mm and Altos 60 or so and Lele 70ish. I put a group of 20-30 mm dems in there for around a month and didnt loose a single one. Which encourages me to put these in.
  24. I am having an argument inside my head on how to introduce my Alto's and Leleupi and some smaller plecs into my Front tank. Normaly I would take everything out, rescape and add new fish. But when I do this the fish are normaly close to the same size. These fish are much smaller than the fronts so I am unsure of how to introduce them safely. I guess I am asking should I introduce new fish when the tanks empty and all the fish are stressing due to the empty tank, or should I put them in when I rescape or dont rescape and put them in the way it is? I am a bit confussed on this one purely because of the size diffrence in the fish
