A small fan will work well with a heater and dehumidifier to circulate the air around. I had my room closed off at night last year but had moisture issue so had to open a window during the day and wipe away condensation often. Lids and poly around tank sides and top ( this maybe only if running a heater per tank, I am unsure) If you own the house you could get your local joinery to install truvent systems in the windows for fresh air to come and go.

Thanks for that tip, I have never thought of that. I am one of those people that fill a tank to the top so I havent thought about part filling before.

As with all things the budget is as little as possible for as much as possible. always willing to fork out for something if it is worth it. As for the plants, they will be mainly medium to high light required plants. My main issue is tank depth, to type of lighting, have had suggested by a couple of people 4 T8's and others say MH.MH is what I originaly was thinking due to the tank depth, but just want to know other options before I got and do it

I just thought that I would announce that I think fish are neat. I came to this conclusion after basicly spending all day gazing into my tanks. P.S Your build thread is awesome David

I am doing a planted tank that is 1500x700x700. My question is what will be the best light set up for growing plants? I want to work it out before I go and spend XX on some lights just to find out I messed up and need to spend more on some new ones.

I expect/ hope that is the case, like I said I was looking last night, and couldnt see any and then looked again and found 2 so that is encouraging I could do if I had some left. But I do honestly think that there is enough gaps and grooves for them

Update as of 3 min ago. I cant see two of the Calvus &c:ry and the other one is in the intake chamber. Ohhh no, I may have messed up big time :an!gry The stupid choc talker has been out an about today, so he may be the criminal. Upside if there is one, I found a young dem in the intake chamber as well and a e yellow in the sump. No idea how long they have been there

So far so good. Have seen one Front chase a leleupi but that is it so far. I have made heaps of small cracks, caves and slots for the smaller fish

Are you going to fill the room with tanks, or just have the one MASSIVE one and then use the space in other ways?
