Hi Do fish eat snail eggs? what fish eat snails that would suit a comunity tank? I have a major snail problem in some of my tanks.

Hey What colour are fertile betta eggs supost to be, I just spawned my bettas today and the eggs are white. Is this normal? I have now removed the female before she got killed. thanks

Just hatching some BBS now. Any idea when their yok sacs will be absorbed, in one of my books it says 7 days, is this right? I think I can clearly see their yok sacs, kinda looks like a small orange/brown lump. I also saw a few of the fry swimming around, well trying to swim around. just hoping that the male wont mistake them for food.

I just went to feed my badis badis male a worm tonight and i flipped his pot so that he would come out and there are about 100 fry in there. I have removed the female. What can i feed the fry other than BBS as i quickly need an air stone. It says that I wont have to feed them until a couple of days is this right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

What species of killifish are allowed into New Zealand. I am asking this because I have seen a few species around that are not on the "allowed list into NZ" such as Austrolebias , Fundulopanchax, Jordanella, Nematolebias and Simpsonichthys. Those are all from the NZKA website and are not on the allowed list.

Hey Can some killifish expert tell me what all the abbreviations killish have mean? eg ETB 96-27 (F1), (F0) ,DNA-01 ,GBN and all the others are. I want to get into killiefish more and would like to understand what these mean.

This stuff is really ugly and is starting to annoy me, its in my spray bar and external power filter pipes. I used to just be able to wash it out with a hose but i think it has now evolved and adapted. anyone got any ideas?

Hey Im sick of have dirty gravel in my 288 litre tank and am looking at getting a under gravel filter. Does anyone know how to make one to custom measurements as I have seen UGFs in shops but they around $40 and wont fill the whole bottom of my tank. Also would you recomment using air pumps or power heads to lift the water? thanks

Hey Iv recently bought a few via aqua (aqua one) and within a few days of them being in a fish tank, the plastic bit at the top and the suction cups have fungus all over them. (well it appears to be fungus). what can I do about this. thanks

Does anyone know where i can get Bulk fish foods. Im looking for freeze and spray dried foods and somthing called golden pearls and flake foods. Also Tiny freeze dired foods for feeding tiny fry. i know of a place in USA but i think shipping would be to much money. thanks

on a cabnet today for free off my cousin!!! it measures 90cm by 34cm by 36cm and is 112 litres. What would you suggest for filtration? I dont want to spend to much money, probably around $50. any ideas? What do you all think of hang on type filters? thanks

Hi I just got a whole lot of peat quite cheaply. I have set up 2 tanks for breeding and have read all about annual fish and now know how to breed them. Expect to see some of these fish in some of the pet shops around tauranga in a few months.
