  1. Hi there, have two poly boxes now. Can ship up to 10 fish per box. Have about 200 for sale. If you are interested - send me a PM. Cheers, JaSa
  2. $7 each and freight would be $17 with NZ Courier. Still need to find a poly box...
  3. Chlorine is toxic to fish. So if you are on tank water and you have to use it to make it safe for you to drink than you have to get rid of it again before you dump it in your tank. In no way I would count on it to evaporate within 24h - maybe in a drum outside in the sun but not in your rain water tank or your water lines... Cheers, JaSa
  4. I have got heaps of phalloceros caudimaculatus. Can ship next time I get hold of a poly box if you want. Cheers, JaSa
  5. Hi there, Ask at RD1, Farm Source, PGG, Farmlands, ... for 5ltr of XY-12 from Ecolab. Pure Sodium Hypochlorite and it's got a label claim and rate on the back to sanitize drinking water out of rain water tanks. Cheers, JaSa
  6. Well, since we are in NZ, there is only phalloceros caudimaculatus and some halfbeaks left Cheers, JaSa
  7. Butchers Pool and the outlet stream has no more Guppies Let me know if you find some, please. Cheers, JaSa
  8. Green Lutino (WREA) Endler: This little bugger even shows Snake Chest which I have never seen in the lines I used to creat them... Cheers, JaSa
  9. Hi, I use a STC-1000 to controll the temp in my fish room. Switches on the heater when temp drops below 23C and stops the heater when reaches 25C. On the other hand switches on the heat exchanger and extractor fan when temp gets over 27C and turn it off again when down to 25C. For your pond you will either need a TC33-8022 to monitor the temp of the pond and the collector at the same time and turn the pump on when pond is below 25C and solar collector is over 25C at the same time + turn pump off once pond reaches boiling point Or you could wire up 2x STC-1000 to do the same job. I'm not going into the wiring details since I'm not a qualified electrician but it's not that hard ... In general, you might need a big area for your collector to bring the pool up in temperatur. 1 square meter can create in theory 1kw of energy per hour. To heat up one ltr of water for one C you need 0,00116111 kWh. Means for a pond - with let's say - 10,000 ltr to bring it up one C you need 11.6kWh. Means 11.6 sqare meter collector and one hour of sun light or 5.8 m2 and two hours of sun light, ... And that is only to rise the temp for 1C. Cheers, JaSa
  10. More of the Lutino (WREA) Asia Blau Endler: Something for the blue lovers: Swallow Tail Guppies: Blue and Multi Coloured Tiger Endler: Cheers, JaSa
  11. @ calculator: Yes - but air still transfers heat energy via convection. In a situation where there is only a small gap (for example a double galzed window) and you can't use big layers of insulation to slow down heat transfer. Your only option is to go the oposit way - take everything away that transfers heat, even the air. That's why they use vaccuum in thermos jugs and not wool Cheers, JaSa
  12. Thanks Have two pair coming from ChCh tomorrow so for now I'm sorted. Cheers, JaSa
  13. Hi Good observation - but I don't think it is chimeraism because: All females are plain grey and none of them have black heads. So even if it happened, both sides of the head would be grey and you wouldn't be able to tell. There are no males with a black head so even a female / male chimera would have a complete grey head.I belive it is a mutation (or more like a trait) similar to Showa Sanke which can be reproduced in guppies (google images) by crossing certain Endler males with certain HB Guppy females. This would be a plausible explanation because the Black Bar Endler strain (in which the female appeared) are obviously Endler - but they are not from AdrianHD so we can not be 100% sure that they haven't been crossed with guppies in the past. In the same strain I had Elongatus showing up a little while ago so it is pretty obvious that there had been a crossing with guppies at some stage in the past. In any case, I will breed her with one of her sons and we will see if it is a inheritable trait or not. Cheers, JaSa
  14. Good evening, Black Lace crossed into my Swallow Tail Guppies: Flamenco Dancer: Something new to play with: Blue Tiger Endler: Cheers, JaSa

  20. Lutino (WREA) x Asia Blau: Lutinos have red eyes just like Albinos but can produce a very limited amount of melanin (black). Normaly you will see them in red. Asia Blue transformes red into blue - way nicer in my eyes :)
  21. About 30ish for free. Pick up after 6pm or on the weekend. Cheers, JaSa
  22. Hi there, is it okay to come along if you are not in any club? If so, where would be a good place to meet you guys on Sunday morning? Cheers, JaSa
