Standard NZ Courier is $19 ish I think - same as last time.
-
Hehe Let's say $20 for the pair since I have about three of them in each tank which makes ... 90 ! Guppies all good, need to find a poly box if you are happy with the price which might take me a day or two. Cheers, JaSa

Dunno, make me an offer
-
Have a couple of them. All about 5cm long. Also have a slightly smaller but proven breeding pair.
-
First time I have seen them was in a pet shop in Rotorua. Got mine three years ago from Animates in Hamilton. They seem to come in on a regular base...

Hi there, checked / emptied the drums and there are not enough mollies and platies, sorry. Was a sh*t, cold and short outside-tropical-fish-keeping summer this year Will see how they do inside now and let you know if I got spare ones. Cheers, JaSa
-
No sure. Will empty the outside drums over the weekend and see how many are in there and we go from there? Cheers, JaSa
-
Hi, how many? Got very limited numbers available. Probably only one pair to be fair... Cheers, JaSa

Hi, Might have some orange ones after summer. They are outside in a drum at the moment but due to all the plants it's hard to say how many are in there... Cheers, JaSa
-
Nothing else, sorry. I bought the corys a year ago for a nano tank that I never managed to set up. Now they are just in my guppy tanks as cleaners which is a bit a a waste really... Could send Monday / Tuesday next week? You still got my bank details? Cheers, JaSa

When caserole gave me the pair of Pink Lady Guppies, I produced large numbers of females with the same goal. 3 or 4 of them looked different but test crossings showed that there was no crossing over of the JB. Funny enough I had the JB gone missing on some of the males! Because there are no tell-tails you literally have to test every female. I gave up after a while - there were more exciting things to do with all those tanks... Will post pictures of some odd JB males later in the other topic. You will see JB hides most of the other traits - but not always a 100%! Not sure if this is inheritable or not. I see it as a fault and select for 100% coverage. But what hey: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Yes, have seen Magenta as pin / needle tails and a DS in form of a Lutino Magenta Endler. Hmm, JB is Y-linked here in NZ. Means you can either have your Schimmelpfennig Platinum (+ X-linked SS = Medusa) or your JB - unless one of them crosses over onto the X. Also JB will most likely cover your nice Medusa pattern. I would rather use your Pink Lady male to create a blond Snakeskin JB guppy. Y-linked JB crossed with X-linked SS. You will get the first decent males in F1. Or if you want to safe time, I can send you a blonde JB male . Also have some JB males that are able to show Zebrinus. They might be able to show Medusa as well? But again, it is Y-linked. BTW, all my JB are going back to a Pink Lady Guppy I got from caserole 2 years ago. Cheers, JaSa

Try to get in contact with salmon19 on TM. Caserole sold a few strains to him in the past which he might still have. He is in Wellington as well I think.
-
Well done !! If you get bored with the strain - implement/introduce Magenta, it will blow your mind. Have seen a few fish on a guppy show 10 years ago and still remember them... Cheers, JaSa

What they are called depends on the standard that you are referring to: Blonde in Europe is called Gold in the IFGA and in Asia but the other way round, Gold in Europe is called Bronze in the IFGA and called Tiger in Asia. But anyway, I'm pretty sure they are Blonde (EU) due to the fact that I have only seen Golden guppies once here in NZ until I feed them to the chickens: Cheers, JaSa

I'm not really into them to be fair. Not the easiest strain to keep. They don't get very old, water quality needs to be 100% perfect at all times, they need more food to compensate the effort to swim with the big fins and you can't breed them in a pure strain because the gen complex is lethal if homozygote. But since a fully grown albino female is a pretty impressive sight circling in a tank and not many people keep them theses days I will always have a few tanks for them in the fish room

Nice crossings - but not what I'm after: Nice fish - sadly got a split tail: Cheers, JaSa
