  1. Proper name is praziquantel, vets usually sell it as a dog wormer called droncit.
  2. 6.8 is perfect ph for most community fish dude.

    Hi there :)

Before someone else tells you let me be the one to advise you to put your location in your profile, helps for when your asking for advice etc.
  4. Make sure you are not feeding them too much, only feed a max of once per day at the moment while your still cycling.
  5. Can you post a pic of them dude? The problem with them looking skinny is it can be any one of a few different diseases that take different drugs to cure. Loaches are also more susceptible to drugs than a lot of other fish so dosage is usually a bit less. Prazi is the most commonly used/available drug for worms and flukes and works great, this is what I would try first. Levamisole is also supposed to be great for a broad range of worms/bacterial diseases but I have heard a few bad things about using it with loaches. Metronidizole is the best drug for bacterial diseases but is really hard to get a hold of, vets won't usually write a prescription without seeing the infected fish first. I would personally be inclined to treat the whole tank as it doesn't take long for disease to spread from my understanding.
  6. Only certain dog worming tablets are ok, droncit is the best as it is just a tablet of prazi. Most vets sell this for around $1.30 a 50mg tablet.
  7. Mean, good on you Cam. So you can hook us up with the mean deals now eh brah.

    co2

Fire safety places usually test co2 cylinders, ring your local one.
  9. It's the best one I've found so far, supports all the main ebook formats and has heaps of settings/features.
  10. Just buy an android tablet and download a free app called "cool reader", that's how I read all my books.
  11. What is the hardness of your water? You shouldn't need to use any chemicals if your using coral and limestone. On a side note I have been reading a bit lately that says fish are much more tolerant of ph changes then what we believe, as most fish in nature experience massive ph changes quite regularly. Also my ph swings a full point or more daily with co2 usage and none of my fish have died from ph shock or show signs of distress.
  12. Same here, probably lucky they weren't more demanding, expensive tropical fish.
  13. Did you lay a complaint? Was it supposed to be overnight courier?
  14. Fantastic idea, looks really well done LA.
  15. That sucks Sophia, my pearl gourami showed the same sort of symptoms before it kicked the bucket awhile ago.

    co2

My fish street solenoid broke after about the same amount of time Jennifer, lucky mine was the other way round though and it closed and wouldn't open, happened whilst I was in hospital so thank god.
  17. Natural Salt Water or Artificial Salt Water.
  18. No worries, is this your first fishtank?
  19. Bugger mate, that sucks. Even worse because you can't fob the blame off onto someone else eh lol.
  20. Pearls still need a bigger tank, my 2 males grew to around 15-18cm. Some dwarf gourami would be sweet though, neon dwarfs are awesome looking.
  21. I am wanting to use an inline co2 reactor and was wondering something, the reactor has 20mm fittings and my filter is using 25mm hose, if I use some reducers on either side of the reactor am I just going to cause damage to the pump motor or will this even make any noticeable difference on flow?
  22. Get rid of the parrots and get a real fish like some Oscars or something.
