  1. I just cut into steaks and fry in butter if it is for me, for the fish I just trim the fat off and put it through a hand mincer/grinder pat to about 1cm thick and freeze. Then I just cut off a strip and slice and dice to feed out.

  3. No I haven't taken fingerling trout home and put it in the pond with the comet... I haven't seen the fish I didn't bring home for a while.

  5. I believe that they are guppies there (going from NIWA's Freshwater Biodiversity DB it looks like they are guppies)

  11. Was a nice way to spend a day or two. Yes there are some good trout in the stream, mostly lower than where I was: You can just make out the tail of a "nice" rainbow jack
  12. These are the two little streams that I had a poke around in last Friday night and Saturday morning. Pitched the tent about 3m from the stream on a small bank.   13. The bullies look to be common bullies from those two pics, and they do become very inquisitive and friendly don't they
  14. The University of Florida suggests in this paper, http://www.aces.edu/dept/fisheries/education/ras/publications/Update/Ich%20infections.pdf, that concentrations as low as 100 - 500mg/L will work
  15. :smot: They are logging image hits and then returning the image from a DB ie the image doesn't live at the URI the URI triggers a database lookup, and a database write about times the image is accessed, then the image is returned to the browser (and displayed via JS). The image works once there is a cashed copy on your computer/browser.

  19. btw, I use table salt for treating my natives if I cant get down to bininn to buy bulk 'rock' salt
