  1. How big a tank does an Angel fish need? What about Dwarf Gouramis? I'm moving my coldwater fish (goldfish, minnows) out of my 64L tank. I will be left with 4 guppies and 2 platys.
  2. That's where my husband works He got me a 150x70 and 12mm thick for free, which he said was going to cost $85 plus GST.
  3. No I wasn't saying I believed it. I'm well aware that information on the net is not always right/true.
  4. :happy1: And now it's exactly one month till my birthday :slfg:
  5. http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=54009&start=15 Just to clarify it is acrylic. I know I said polycarb but was corrected by my husband after the fact
  6. My hubby works for a plastics company in Mt Wellington and he just got me a huge piece of acrylic recently .. from memory it was about 75cm by 150cm and I think it was 12mm thick... will have to find my old post about it. Anyhow, he says it was going to cost $85 but they gave it to him free. So it sounds like wherever those prices are coming from they are WAY too expensive. A 64L tank doesn't use that much glass, so I couldn't see one made out of acrylic being that expensive :dunno:
  7. I remember this camp I went to twice as a kid that had a lake with a slide going into it and I wouldn't swim in there because they told us there were eels in it. Not sure if there really was... but I wasn't going to find out LOL
  8. :rotf: You all know that Vampires, Werewolves, Mermaids, Unicorns, Fairies and The Lock Ness Monster are all real too :rotf:
  9. lol I was thinking of something like that. Ira I just got it off the internet
  10. :rotf: Can you do that safely? I've always wondered how high I can fill my tank. I don't want to break the glass... when it says the tank is so many litres, does that mean if you fill it right to the top, or is there a specific amount of centimetres or something, you should leave at the top? Although I guess I have to allow for the filter, to make sure there is enough surface disruption of the water... but I do have a pump so there should be enough oxygen anyway.
  11. So does a spade and fork. I think I like the gun with a silencer idea
  12. Well it's the 28th and so far nothing has happened lol
  13. I would go for the chainsaw. With spades and forks you have to raise it or move it before taking another swing/jab.
  14. Well my 5yo isn't carrying the weight anywhere that we can see... yet she is still classed as severely overweight/obese. :dunno: She is tall for her age. And it's not muscle. I know I'm overweight though. But I won't be doing BMIs on my daughter again.
  15. Not sure about vehicles but they do attend house burglaries if they have the resources. They unfortunately didn't have a dog unit free two Saturdays ago when our house was broken into so the only cop that came over was the guy to do the fingerprinting of the window. Thieves don't give a damn. :an!gry  I'm still having to sleep in my 7yo daughters bedroom every night because she is scared someone is going to break in and steal her. I'm hoping once the locks are put onto all the windows that she will be ok. Otherwise I'm going to have to get victim support over to talk to her I think
