  1. i'm too attached to do an autopsy. maybe zombiefish can come do one for me.
  2. he's really slowing down now.. constipation? has he eaten rocks? nothing feels more helpless than being the owner of a sick fish. :tears:
  3. looking closer, he seems to have two separate bulges on his right side. &c:ry
  4. waaaa! two days ago i noticed my bgk has a big bulge out his right side, now there's another smaller one on his other side, around about where his stomach goes - but it's definitely not just a full tummy - he hasn't eaten in a few days. now he's all lethargic, breathing really lightly, hardly swimming, getting blown around by the filters into the calm spots of the tank. he's over 5 years old... tank conditions are sweet, no ammonia, PH6.8, temp 26. there is nothing else weird going on. any ideas guys? i'm quite attached to this fish...
  5. yep, bristlenoses and small plecos will be fine with cichlids. also catfish such as hoplo cat, cheap and tough. algae eaters are good too, aka flying fox, golden algae eaters, chinese algae eaters. you could even think about some clown loaches.
  6. new fish: janice - jaguar cichlid, named after janice the muppet (you will see the resemblance) watson - green texas cichlid, named after texas watson. duncan junior - convict cichlid, named after my first convict, the late duncan (RIP) herpes - bristlenose, i don't like having this fish but i have learned to live with it... lucy - black angelfish, named after the blackest angel, lucifer.
  7. i was about to tell you to talk to ronnie. he's the willie wonka of brine shrimp.

  9. sophia, if you are looking at adopting a rescue or rehome kitty please check out my friends website. www.gutterkitties.co.nz she is a vet nurse and puts all her spare time into helping gutter kitties. what a wonderful girl she is!
  10. which long handle thing do you mean? actually no need to clarify. i can't remember where i got either of those two things from.
  11. i can get very good prices on spaying/neutering. paid $20 for my boy to get done, that was door to door service also - boy cats are better by millions....
