My little fighter owns our tank, I got him a week ago.. (or longer?) from mdodge, but i only just took some pictures.. http://s840.photobucket.com/albums/zz32 ... G_0276.jpg He flares whenever i use the algae magnet.. which is cute! The algae eaters were a bit annoyed when he first came, but i swapped the ornaments and now they get on fine..

Not that smart, they eat brussel sprouts!

My friend is looking at getting rid of her three foot tank. So I might be able to buy it off her cheaply, with all the stuff... Any ideas what I could keep in there if I got it?? She just has like platties and swordtails and other community fishies.. I'd like something different..

Yeah, but drunk drivers etc. only endanger their own and a few other peoples lives, a snake that was pregnant/ carrying a diesese could kill many more people. We just did a topic on border security in Social Studies. But I do wish snakes didn't come with all the problems because they would be pretty cool pets!

I was just in the pet shop on the way home from school and i noticed some really cool fishies, that i haven't really noticed before, Leopard Fish. They mainly appealed to me because they are small and coldwater, i think.. do you guys think I could put a few of these in a 14L tank?

Never mind... After I posted that I went and checked the tank and the cat (i'm guessing) had removed the plug for the filter.. so the water wasn't circulating, the thermometer side was cool and the other normal.. its fine now... :oops:

Not a very good title... My thermometer reads 21degrees, but my heater is set on 26degrees after being on all night? Is either broken? OR is the water still not warmed after my 1/3 water change last night? Since I got the tank I have never seen such a difference in temp on the dials... Any ideas why this is?

Yeah, it is one of those top back ones...My filter bits are quite dirty and are probably due for a change.I last changed it about 10days ago...

Murky as in bits of like dirt floating around every now and again. The water is clearer than it was after I replaced some of the water.. Tank is like six weeks running? Maybe? Um, I don't know what the filter is, but it came with my AR-380 when i got the tank. (second hand though) It has a couple of plants, just like planted in the gravel. And yeah I vacuum my gravel....

Brother wants to set up a 10-20L cold water tank for guppies. Dad is currently undecided, but Brother asked to post here any way... His questions... A)how many? B)what types? C)what do I feed them? Translated... A)How many guppies could I have in a tank of this size? B)If possible are there any other types of cold water fish he could have as well with/instead of guppies? C)Can I feed them the food we already have? (tetra food) Thanks!

I just siphoned out and replaced the water as usual, but it is still quite murky and dirty looking... This is probably a common question for noobs like myself, but is their a way to clear the water?

That is a confusing description on that auction...

Not long after i got my tank i noticed a small snail (like 2-3mm long) in there, i was going to scoop it out but forgot... :oops: Then I was away for a week and when i got back i found another 2-3 small ones and a couple of larger ones??? I removed as many as I could and they are now in a plastic container... But I am kind of concerned about how they got in there in the first place... Tank+Filter+Ornaments were second hand, and hadn't been used for a year before i got them Heater+ Stones were new (i bought them) Could they have came with my plants? (randoms from animates) Also what the heck am i supposed to do with the snails? I don't want them in my tank... Help??

I was just wondering about how easy/hard it is and what happens after the babies are 'alive' as such... I know they build bubble nest thingys... Also is it possible to keep male and female together long term? I am not planning on breeding them now or any time soon, but i do love betta's and i think that might be something to look into... Maybe. . (if my babysitting money allows me another tank... :oops: ) Thanks!
