I found one that dad approves the price of! Only 54L,(60cm 30cm 30cm) It is second hand, and comes with everything. Hopefully, everything will will work .. but even if the heater etc. doesn't work, it is cheap enough that I will still be able to buy another! I am thinking a few plants on one side, that start tall, then some smaller ones, so it looks as if it is sort-of sloping downwards to the middle. Then a piece of driftwood or a nice pretty rock/stone on the other side? Oh, and I want like that sandy sort-of substrate. What do you think?? So, where is the best place to buy snail free plants??? Thanks!!

My current tank is 34L...

Aw!!! Dad says I can't buy the big tank I wanted. He wants me to 'save' my money. I'm still going to get another tank, but probably a lot smaller.... I'm looking on trade-me. Is it even worth it to get a 50-60L tank?? I will probably only get a couple of guppies now. I might try breed my own special.................What's that word!? Anyway, any ideas for a smaller tank??

Yeah, it will be a tropical tank. lol I think I like the idea of a female fighter.. or two? Can you keep them together?? With some guppies and a few barbs?? Oh, and I would like to put my GAE in there.. (If I don't get rid of them..) I think the tank i am saving for is about 250L,( I was a bit off with my 90L plus guess)

I am getting a (90L plus) tank, so i can keep some community fish.. And that is where my genius idea ends... It needs to be low- maintenance... but cool!? I would like a couple of guppies, I couldn't have any in my other tank, because of my fighter.. What other fish? Also, plants? Cool Substrate?

I don't go to Animates any more, When I went the guy there gave me really bad advice on what fish to get. He said two golden algae eaters would be fine in my wee tank and that they weren't big or aggressive fish.. He may not be a fish expert, but if he is handing out advice, it may as well be accurate... I now go to the animal shack pet shop in Pukekohe, they have a real good fish room. -not that I'm all that experienced!!

What fish eat snails? and can live in a 34L tank??? The algae eaters are on their way out....

They weren't even slightly aggressive before i added the fighter.. I think i might sell them... On the subject, one of mine is about 10cm and quite fat, while the other is about 3cm smaller and quite little? They are the same age and are fed the same, is it a gender thing??

...Are a pain in the bum. I'm thinking about getting rid of mine and maybe getting a couple of little corydora? I liked the algae eaters at first, but they doubled in size and are getting slightly aggressive towards my fighter... They dont even really do much algae eating anymore... Any one else had similar problems??? As i am speaking my larger one is thrashing around and swimming around crazily...

may not fit though... :-? lol, it is at 20 degrees now, so im gonna put them in.. I should have used warm water, but i didn't consider this before I refilled....

Uh, i just changed about 2/3 of my tanks water...It was really icky.. I refilled it.. added stresscoat etc.. But my water temp is taking aaaages to reheat. Is there any way to heat it faster or could i put my fish in with the temp at....16degrees????
