new thread... of my other topic... I have set-up my tank i have my neons etc. Next i will be getting my fighter!! i was planning on buying it from the pet shop (where i brought the neons) but the fighters there looked sorta pathetic and sad. (they didn't have very pretty tails) so where would you guys suggest i get my betta from? I don't know if this is under the right category.... i can't actually get the fighter for another 2 weeks... Thanks!!!

yeah, i know! the pet shop ones yesterday looked so pathetic their tails weren't pretty at all (possibly from being nipped...)

yay! now i have 6 neon tetras ( a bit boring, but they were the cheapest ones that were compatible) and two golden algae eaters. I will be getting my betta (red or blue) as soon as i know my water is safe!!! exciting!

I think that is what he is trying to avoid... he used to breed fish, when he was my age. guppies or something, I think?

not exactly... i am planning on getting a betta once, im 100% sure my tank is non-toxic! so whatever i get is going to be compadible with a betta....YAY!

After lots of waiting and delays i am finally getting a few 'starting' fish (hopefully) tomorrow! yay. im not getting tooo excited in case it doesnt happen... (My dad ain't that good at remembering to drive me places... i would be able to get my license next year, but not with the stupid law change! thats a different subject though)

I know it will get heaps higher, but i was just thinking if i was selling that tank i would at least put the starting price slightly higher, or atleast not have a $1 reserve. . . I'd be too scared like noone else bid.

Yay! I just set-up my AR-380. (my firsts tropical tank!) So far its pretty plain, I'd upload a picture, but I don't have my camera with me and its pretty boring anyway. I have filled it to the edge of the plastic, added 2 tsp of StressCoat and StressZyme. It has a 'pipe' ornament, but the bottom is plain. I am adding gravel and plants at some point, before i get my fish. My fish. I am planning on getting about 3-5 tetras, then a Siamese fighter. The pet shop had their fighter with their rummynose tetra, but they said it worked with their neons as well. If/when i get tetras I will watch them with the fighter as you guys said... So what do you think??? (lol, just alot of stuff that probably doesnt interest any of you but still! Im excited!)

What is a good number of fish for the tank? Do maybe, Platys, tetras and a fighter worlk together? Or a similar combo? God, i feel like such a noob! Bear with me!!!

I have decided to use my heater and have a tropical tank. I am now trying to decide on what type of fish to get. The tank is 34l? Its an AR-380 anyway! I really want a Siamese Fighter. What kind of community type fish should i get? and How many? I am thinking not too expensive (like under $4 a fish) My Fighter is my splurge. lol. I'd love colours too! Thanks!!
