Get him to photograph it then bring the camera with you next week. I am sure you can finish off the film in Napier! :lol: We could get it developed then scan it here before you go home again.

What is YMMV Andrew? On the few occasions I have used salt it has been non iodised table salt.

Take a photo for Cees Goldie or he will be cross with you! I have never seen Vallisneria flowering so would like to see it too. If you haven't a digital camera, send the photo to me and I will scan it. BTW: I got my colour laser printer today!! YIPEEEEE!!!!

I only feed my fish once or twice a week now Pegasus! I have got the Erythromycin and I am putting the plants into a fishless tank and treating them there. Will keep you posted.

I have never bothered with salt myself although I know it is supposed to be beneficial. Do you add more salt every water change? I thought the salt did not 'go away' (can't think of the right word at the moment) so you only added it once as the concentration of salt would rise with each addition.

I have Kelly Rennell staying with me at the moment and he has given me instructions on how to use the stuff. I am working tomorrow (medical receptionist) and he suggested I ask the Dr if he has some erythromicin as it would be cheaper than the vet.

I don't know about this species specifically but temperature has been shown to affect the sex of some others so why not?

It probably is blue-green algae but it is only a problem under the 2 new tubes, not the whole tank. I can remove the plants to treat them as they are just bunched and weighted ready to take north. Where do I get erythromicin from? Does it have a brand name of some sort I should look for? Thanks for the advice. Poor water quality wouldn't surprise me either, you know I rarely do water changes and with my back problems recently......

Thank you Cees. My previous problem was that the Yahoo Photos! site I use does not allow you to link to other sites but I could not find that information on their site. I now have an MSN photo album where I put anything I want to post.

There should have been but Roy has not managed to get any out on time yet. I believe he may be waiting for the YB information from Warren so the AW and YB can go together. In the meatime, Warren may be waiting for Roy to request the information. I know I have tried to contact Roy as I want to put a competition in the AW but need to know what cut-off date to put on it, but have had no success.
