The word is voluptuous phillz :lol: That large they are sure to be pregnant They will drop fry every 4 - 6 weeks on average. faster in warmer temps.

Anyone know what these are? It has been suggested they might be dragonfly larvae. They are about 1 - 2cm long and glide along the bottom of the pond, up the sides and out of the water. They also swim at midlevel. They can also climb up the sides of nets and plastic containers! You can compare their size to the mozzie larvae at the top and the daphnia around it. I need to know should I be trying to get them out of the pond in case they eat fish fry?

What sex are they? I suspect your sex ratio may be the cause of the aggression. They should be equal numbers of boys and girls. I always found dwarf gouramis to be quite peaceful but I know others who have said the opposite! To sex gouramis, look at their dorsal (the fin at the top) and tail fins. Males have longer fins with long points whereas the females' fins are shorter and rounded.

That is a new name on me, but searching the net tells me its average size is 35cm. Got a bigger tank? In my experience keyholes are usually very peaceful. Perhaps I just had wimps :lol:

Java moss is commonly found. When cleaning, just lightly move the siphon over it high enough so it doesn't suck the moss up as well. A lot of it will cling to the rock naturally. Anchor a small piece down to start with to keep it in place. You can also wrap fishing line around it to hold it down. Once the moss grows, the line is covered over.

Won't you be sticking the stuff together, waiting for it to dry, and then adding it to the tank?

If you have an all glass aquarium then it must be ok under water as the sealant in the tanks is under the water isn't it? Lots of people silicone rocks together to keep them in place or silicone logs to the tank glass etc. If you can't make your log sink, silicone it to a sheet of perspex or glass and put it on the base covered with gravel to hold it down, or silicone the perspex to the base of the tank. As long as your sealant is aquarium safe you can use it in the tank.

They allow the coolerbags as hand luggage too. I have also transported axolotls in an ice cream container on a plane.

I only use an airpump if it is attached to a box or under gravel filter. They are useful in higher temperatures as the warmer the water the less oxygen. A lot of people like bubbles and bubble walls in their tanks but these are for aesthetics only, not necessary.

Carry on hand luggage or they go in the hold and you have no control over things in there (not that you have much as a plane passnger but you know what I mean ). MAF don't come into it as it is an internal domestic flight. A little water, lots of air, double bagged with oxygen. They are happiest travelling lying flat I was told. Carry them in one of those cooler bags. Temperature shouldn't be a problem at this time of year anyway. Keep them with you rather than courier them.

I hope all these fish are still small as you have too many for the size of the tank. You have also mixed tropical and cold water fish which isn't recommended. I suggest you remove either the goldfishes, or the angels and bristlenose. The goldfish will be OK for a while but will outgrow the tank eventually. As asked previously, is this tank heated? The tannins from the driftwood are harmless and the angels will actually like it. I believe charcoal in the filter will remove it more quickly. I would not add any more fish to the tank.
